The Guy we Really Need....Michael Irvin
For the past two or three seasons, we either have seen Michael Irvin on ESPN and the only voice of reason (until they fired him), who coincidently didn't fit in with the Cowboy bashing that has become their mainstay of topics or we hear him on his radio show hosted on ESPN. He has always been a free thinker and a person to speak his mind. Quite frankly, he is the Ray Lewis of Wide Recievers. And there is a lot to be said about that. Specifically, where is the voice and leader in this locker room? Do we really need one or do these guys just need to man up and get it done?
Michael's numbers will not go down in history as the best. He'll always be held in a high regard, but not the most athletic. He'll always earn the respect from folks who do or do not know him, but hes made his mistakes. But what Michael and Ray Ray have is charisma, charm, and heart. These three things, the Cowboys have lost since their 90s day of yore. We are a joke of a team who gets kicked, punched in the mouth, and picked on every chance a non-fan or media member gets. Why is that? Because we have NO HEART. We have a franchise with a group of players who coincidentally are wearing the same jerseys but not teammates.
Say what you want about this group, but overrated is not the issue. Underachieving is. But guys like Ray Ray or Michael don't just fall out of trees. In the history of the league, there has probably no more than a dozen guys who can command a locker room the way they do/did. If your coach doesn't inspire you, your owner doesn't inspire you, your teammates don't inspire you, and you yourself don't inspire you, what the heck does? Surely losing wasn't the answer because they did plent of that with the exact same results.
Why not bring Michael in as a consultant or Wide Reciever Coach? Name another guy who wouldn't give these guys a kick in the you know what better than him? Name another guy who has better credentials and resume to get the job done? Name another guy who wouldn't IMMEDIATELY garner respect and inspiration that Michael.....You can't and you won't. Michael Irvin doing what he does and saying what he does about this team is not just being a homer, but also being one of it's biggest critics...This is why he'll forever by my favorite player of all time...Not what he did on the field...but also what he did in that locker room.

Stanback doesn't Play...
The rest of those jokers do, and apparently needs more help than he does…
