If you can't beat them, take their coordinator!

I was talking to some Eagles fans the other day and a thought crossed my mind.  How great would it be to sign Jim Johnson as our head coach next year?  He has never been given a chance, but his D is always prepared and they play their best at the end of the year.  Plus, he can use the 4-3, 3-4 and 46.  Our players know the 3-4, it would be pretty easy to switch to a 4-3 with our players and the 46 would help us mask our safety position by putting him up in the box.

As a last little plus, we wouldn't have to go up against Jim Johnson's D twice a year anymore.

(I know this is rediculous and won't happen, but it's a fun thought).

JJ

is about 70+ years old and has said he doesn’t want to be a HC

also, he very very rarely runs any 3-4, and living in Philly and only missing one of their games when they play at the same time as the Cowboys, I have never seen him use any 46.

I’d have rather hired Rex Ryan. It’s obvious that when the dogs are turned loose this defense can be good, but Phillips get scared and goes soft. Look at the way we closed the season, the dogs had been turned loose up until the last game and had played well, we come out vs Philly and Wade has us in a soft passive zone.

why would we want a very old HC?

that makes no sense whatsoever and he runs a 4-3 defense to boot.

No thanks...

I’d rather see them pick up Shanahan and snag a top notch 3/4 DC to go with him.

I’d even love to see Garrett stick around as an OC in this scenario where he could learn a thing or two about a thing or two under Shanahan. No of this of course could ever happen…

JG

would consider that an insult. He wouldn’t stay as OC here if we hired Shannahan as HC.

I think JJ is a straight DC type of guy

plus he’s a million years old.

George Teague did it all.

If you can't beat them...

Have God open up the heavens and send Jesus down to play safety…Cause the odds of that happening are about the same as LeBeau EVER leaving Armpittsburgh.
