Holmgren 4-12, Wade ?-? Let this sink in
Does anyone else see a similarity to the Seahawks this year and what we have to look forward to next year? Homgren is being talked about as a replacement for Wade in 2010 so he is considered a better coach then the Hillbilly Clown, right?
Holmgren made it known he was not returning at the beginning of this year and look at the Seahawk's season. JJ stated we lack continuity if you fire a coach after two years and wants to give the Hillbilly Clown a third year to get smarter(are you kidding me?). The only way Hillbilly is not a lame duck coach is if there's talk of a possible extension after '09. Has anyone heard anything about an extension? Me neither. it's futile to discuss an extension if the Hillbilly Clown doesn't have the tools to be a mediocre head coach, save a good one.
Can you imagine a season in which all coaches and players know the head coach cannot effectively do his job AND is a lame duck? That's what we have to look forward to.
It's very frustrating for me as a fan to see the fingers point in every direction from special teams, to Romo, to the offensive line, etc... because I agree with all of those. But, if you are pointing fingers in all these directions, this means we have no direction. Wade needs to be fired in '08 or we can write off '09. It's almost as if JJ is okay with waiting for failure next year before making a change where it's needed, AT HEAD COACH!!. The only way I put up with the decision not to fire Hillbilly this year is you guarantee Cowher in 2010.

shanahan
the rat will be the head coach of the dallas cowboys in 2010, guaranteed, it will be deja vu for coach cupcake. i also see either romero or campers coming in as defensive coordinator, and get this jason garrett will still be on the staff when the rat takes over. jeremy bates called the plays in denver last season and is very tight with jay cutler. i see the same set up in big d, it will be romo’s 4th season in 2010 in the same system. shanahan will give garrett imput on game planning, in game adjustments, in sights on when to use the running plays (barber, jones and choice) with a mixture of west coast to maximize owens and williams. perfect fit for the rat to make it to the hall of fame by taking the broncos and the cowboys to winning the superbowl. in addition, the rat went to the same college as sean payton, and his new qb tony romo, i guarantee you that the rat will put his alumi brother in the right position to be successful. can’t wait til 2010. as far as the 2009 season is concern with cupcake seeing the writing on the wall, expect the cowboys to take a step back next season, finishing 4th in the NFC East, but the cowboys will have a high draft pick in the first round in the 2010 draft for the new administration. the future is bright for the cowboys, jerry knows what he is doing, he wants that 6th elusive lombardi trophy bad, he can almost taste it.

says who, you???
I think Shanahan is thinking more along the lines of taking a year off, recharge his batteries and be one of the top two coaches on the free agent market next year, the other being Cowher. Holmgren would be a second tier coach behind Shanahan and Cowher on the market next year, personally I think it’s time for Holmgren to move into the front office somewhere as an executive, along the lines of Bill Parcells this year Miami…
If Shanahan wanted to come back this year, the best place for him would be with the Jets, but the problem there is Tanenbaum, who has to much say there as a GM and I don’t think he wants to give up some of the say so on personnel and coaching staff that Shanahan would want. That’s the same problem Shanahan would have in Dallas, Jerry has too much say on the personnel
For me the best job is Detroit, you have an owner that’s patient and wouldn’t be quick to fire you, plus they went 0-16, so there’s nowhere to go but up. They do have some talent there, key free agent pickups and a good draft, they have some picks to move around with, especially with two first round choices, you could make a real impact and turn that franchise around next year with that team….. If I were Shanahan, I would seriuosly consider Detroit, they will give him alot of say on coaches and player personnel
