wade is the head coach not just the defensive coordinator.

he needs to get the entire team ready, not just the defense.

+1000 - it is NOT ridiculous - mental mistakes are mental mistakes.....so what happens

in practice….somebody on offense makes a mental mistake and screws up royally, and Wade is supposed to go run and “tattle on him” to Jason Garret? NO – he’s supposed to step up as the head coach and get this damn team ready to play…I don’t think he’s getting that job done in that respect….not even close

Whole coaching staff fired, start evaluating players for next year.

Really, might as well make the break now, Shannahan or Holmgren would probably take the remainder of the year and at least have a head start on next, but right now I would fire everyone.

The Cowboys are supposedly a second half team

First, they may not even be a “team.” Second, that’s no excuse for a complete lack of competence in the first half.

2009 Dallas Cowboys: 10-6
2009 New York Jets: 11-5

by Grady90 on Oct 11, 2009 1:31 PM CDT reply actions

We'll make the half time adjustments

All will be well. Ware gets his sack, receivers find their hands, Free Reign quits thinking about their next gig, JG finds the goal line play chart he lost with the runs on it.

It’ll work out…write it down.

by ImpactNate on Oct 11, 2009 1:34 PM CDT reply actions

If the Cowboys win, all the rose-colored glasses will make a VERY quick comeback.

“Well, we’re 3-2 going into the bye.”
“Well, Romo lead a comeback.”
“Well, our D stepped up in the 2nd half.”
“Well, it’s still early in the season.”
“Well, we won with our best receiver injured.”
“Well, we won with Felix out.”
“Well, good teams win ugly games.”
“Well, we found a way to win”

But don’t forget this feeling right now. This Cowboys teams SERIOUSLY needs help.

by Parl on Oct 11, 2009 1:35 PM CDT reply actions

so what?

why is it a problem to be a fan? I think 97% of us realize they have serious problems, but i’m still gonna be happy if they can get out of this game with a win.

by foyesboys on Oct 11, 2009 1:37 PM CDT up reply actions

Because the organization has the same problem as some of the fans on this board.

They don’t think winning can ever be bad, or they don’t want talk about how to FIX this team.

“Oh, you’re not a true fan. You’re criticizing the win. Get out.”

I’m not accusing you of anything since I don’t know you as a poster, but some fans like to talk one way when the Cowboys are winning and another way when they’re losing. I’m just saying I want people to be consistent about their view with this team.

Some fans have consistently been optimistic. I think that’s the wrong view given the state of the team, but it’s your call to make. On the other hand, don’t be dismissive of people who are pessimistic.

Some fans are more pessimistic, like me, but that doesn’t mean you’re not a fan hoping for LONG-TERM improvement. And I think the best way to get that is for the organization to stop looking for band-aids to fix short-term problems thinking that one magic band-aid is going to click and then this team is going to make a SB run.

Am I happy when the Cowboys win? Of course, but I hate when people immediately flip their view and start bashing people who want to criticize the flaws in this team despite the win.

by Parl on Oct 11, 2009 1:44 PM CDT up reply actions

I think his point

is to remember that there are serious issues with this team, I think.

I’ll be happy if we win, but we have flaws that never seem to be corrected. It’s the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result

he said "going away"

did he mean blowing them away?

This year, we bring the house!!!!!!!!!!!

question for Wade Phillips....

Mike Vrabel has 10 career catches – all for TDs

when he enters the game on offence in goal-line situation….how come not one person notices nor bothers to cover him??

by McLovin9 on Oct 11, 2009 1:40 PM CDT reply actions

yea.....is terrible

on the other hand, at about 5 tds you would think teams would’ve realized it and they haven’t

Give Wade more credit

He’s been undefeated during all bye weeks

by CTCowboy on Oct 11, 2009 1:45 PM CDT up reply actions

we ARE kicking them up and down the field, but screwups by our own team are killing us

that and our WRs drop their hands in the end zone.

Now if we could actually perform a sack at the pro level of football, I would think we have more of a chance.

It's The T.O. Curse

Every team suffers a bad season right after he leaves.
Now it’s our turn.

Don't be superstitious

We got followers not leader, that’s the problem, talent but no leadership

well

he could probably do it better over the phone than Wade can live, so…

Summarizing the Dallas Cowboys in two words; inconsistently amazing.

Jerry has lifted his leg

on everything this francise has stood for over time all in the name of his freakin’ ego and so he can be known as a “football man”. I wish he had never bought the team. It’s starting not to be worth those three Super Bowls. They were Jimmy’s anyway.

Have good, get give.

THIS ORGANIZATION IS A JOKE!!!!

BLOW IT UP.
1. Get a GM of Football Operations
Jerry is at fault for lack of direction as a team.

2. Fire every coach except DeCamilis
This game has shown total lack of organization, preparedness, discipline, strategy, fundamentals and heart.

3. Trade Romo, Adams, Gurode, Crayton, Brady James, Newman, Hamlin, Carpenter and Spencer.
Start over. These players are the ones that caused Bill to give it up. He said that these players were too frustrating and 3 years later, all they do is prove him right.
They are dumb and lack both heart & concentration.

This team is a waste of my time, energy and emotion.
