Around SBN: Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire Vow To Fit In With Lin

I know everyone loves to hate on our Cowboys ... but this is some nice crow for all the ones who said the Kitna for Henry trade was a bad one for the Boys .....

Lions LCB Anthony Henry was benched in favor of Phillip Buchanon on Sunday.
Henry started the game, but was pulled for giving up plays. The Lions have now benched both of their projected Week 1 starting corners (Buchanon also got the treatment earlier on). Henry finished with two tackles Sunday.

Some of the Lions fans

Thought they had totally ripped off Jerry in that trade. They were still giddy from the Roy trade.

3-2 headed for the bye week.

they still won that one

Kitna for Henry was crap for crap and they got a 1st and 3rd for Roy.

I agree if you combine the two trades (although there's still hope for Roy)

But just looking at the Kitna for Henry trade, Dallas might have gotten a slightly better deal.

Both players were most likely going to be cut if no teams offered anything in trade.

3-2 headed for the bye week.

anyone who thinks Kitna is 'crap'

has revisionist history and doesn’t remember the debacle that was two years of Brad Johnson.

The upgrade in backup quarterbacks was the equivalent to a 1st round pick’s impact.

BJ was THAT far below acceptable.

Coach Winters: Alright, this is Mississippi State's offensive set. Second and two on our own 24, what defensive set might we call?
Alvin Mack: Eagle Zipper Hero, unless the setback shifts into the I.
Coach Winters: Good..[clicks to next slide], third and seven?
Alvin Mack: Oakie Thunder Lion.
Coach Winters: What's your assignment?
Alvin Mack: Kill the quarterback.
Coach Winters: [clicks to next slide]
Alvin Mack: Hit the tight end so hard his girlfriend dies.
Coach Winters: [clicks to next slide]
Alvin Mack: Kill everybody.

Wow...benched.

Maybe they’ll release him and we can pick him up and finally switch him to FS. Ha! Screw the past! Onward!

There's somethin' happenin' here...what it is ain't exactly clear...
