Soooo....

There are lots of questions about the Cowboys because they haven't beaten anybody given that the we've only beaten the Buccaneers, Chiefs, and Panthers who total 1-11. Fair enough. But the Cowboys are not the only team deserving of that criticism.

Star-divide

The Eagles are 3-1. Good for them. Their loss? The Saints, no shame there against a good team. Their wins? Well, uh..., yeah they've beaten the Buccaneers, Chiefs, and Panthers who total, wow, look at that 1-11.

The Giants only decent win at this point looks to be against the Cowboys, having beaten the Buccaneers, Raiders, Chiefs, and Redskins. Their opponents are a combined 7-17, with 5 of those opponent wins coming from the Cowboys and the Redskins.

You can say that they've looked better beating these bad teams, but so what? All that matters is how we do in the next game. All three of these teams have a tough last half of the season, in part because we beat each other up.

What I'm really saying is calm down, let's see how good all of these teams are in the next few weeks because really don't know for sure how good all of these teams are yet because we don't really have any perspective yet.

That's a fair perspective

…but to expect a lot more from a team that has made a living off of breaking its fans hearts over the last decade+ is probably far too rosy a viewpoint to be confused with reality.

nobody knows what reality is yet

Reality will set in around Thanksgiving, good or bad. Up until then, it’s simply all speculation, good or bad.

Reality is the here and now

…and this team is, as I said in a previous post, medicore.

Again

So were the Giants when they went to the SB and won it against a very good team. We might be mediocre now but Y keep watching if there isn’t something in you that hopes it will all change, they only have to do it once and the choke label will forever be thrown away

exactly

teams evolve throughout the season, sometimes good, sometimes bad, but the Cowboys story for 2009 definitely hasn’t been written yet.

WE

…are not the 2007 Giants. Using them as the lightning rod of hope for our team is what Lions fans do. Not me.

You are right!

The next 10 are much tougher.

And even TOUGHER

for the Giants, Eagles and Redskins, based on current win/loss records of their opponents.

sure

the reality at this point in the season, which has little bearing on how the rest of the season plays out, is that we are average.

That means nothing. It means we need to play one win better than philly the rest of the way to be a likely playoff team.

Anything can happen

…and I hope anything DOES happen.

That said, my head says something different than my heart..this team isn’t headed toward an outcome anything more notable than in the recent past.

You make a good point,

as tons of people always say, you can only play the teams on your schedule

These cowboys confuse me

Our two losses are from teams that are now undefeated. The same Broncos who barely beat us in Denver just beat New England. The press has already crowned the Giants the NFC champs and we all know we should have blown them off the field.

Yesterday was a pathetic display of football, I am not excusing any of the bone headed blunders we made but there is something to be said for a gut check W on the road. It is easy to say “yeah well KC sucks” but in this league, a W is a W.

I am not in the “this team sucks, the season’s over” camp, nor am I in the “we turned the corner, this way to the super bowl” camp. It was an exciting win yesterday and I wish so much this team would get it together so I guess I’ll ride high until Atlanta and see what happens.

The one thing I know to be true is that if Romo can stay strong and play solid, this team will rally around him.

The Knights season may have just ended, but the Cowboys year is just begining!

The Bengals pretty much went the distance in overtime last week against the lowly Browns.

This week, they took down the mighty Ravens.

Week-to-week this game is.

I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles...

there are many teams like this

the broncos could easily be 2-3. The Pats could be 2-3. the redskins could be 1-4 or 4-1.

In this league, a large number of games are decided by a few plays. Which is why its RIDICULOUS to declare a 3-2 team at this point in the season done.
