I'm rooting for da Jets defense

I’ve got them on one of my fantasy teams

:- )

Is playing smart too much to ask?

Rooting against them.

I’m up by 3 but I have David Harris as my IDP; so, any sacks/INTs thru him will balance in my favor.

I wouldn't expect to much from Edwards tonight

probably have a handful of plays designed for him since he hasn’t much time to learn this offense..

I think he'll get a score in the 1st quarter.

nice opening drive by the fish

control the ball, control the clock, score a TD

If you saw the ending to the Houston game...

I bet they wish they could have that kind of goal line offense. Brown starts slow, picks his spot, then slams through for the TD. Go Fins! (I’ve got a friendly wager on them!)

Did ya'll see that? The Jet defenders know how to tackle!

Perhaps SOB, the Fixer, can teach the basics of tackling vs. arm waving (least everyone be waving goodbye to him). Just a thought…

We whiffed on McKillop.

And, to get in a little “I told you so” to the Cowboys, Nick Reed is making plays for Seattle. A 7th rounder was all they needed to invest for a real football player.

Pitt has a beast of a receiver

by the name of Jonathan Baldwin, 6-5 who can fly, reminds of CJ. if Pitt had a good qb, he’d be lighting up the Big East secondaries big time.

Reed hit the 7th round.

I just don’t know how he would have fit in a 3-4 becuz he’s pretty much a straight-up DE.

Hey Aaron,

you guys hear anything from coaches/players why Marty B didn’t get any looks yesterday?

by selke99 on Oct 12, 2009 8:47 PM CDT up reply actions

I haven't ran across anything yet.

Saw him tweet about his bro getting signed by Tampa. To me, it looks like Garrett is trying to feature different guys each week. After Tampa, where everyone contributed, it went to the RBs for a couple of games. Against Denver, PC & RW seemed to be getting looks (with Hurd in for RW). Maybe after looking at film, they saw Austin getting open.

Witten hasn’t been busting out either, so it could just be that teams are more concerned with taking away the middle of the field (RBs and TEs). Now, with Austin having a humangous game, perhaps that will open it up for those dudes.

Thanks Aaron

You would think with Roy and Felix out, they would try to work him in. I don’t know why they don’t have packages for each of their playmakers with plays that each of them run well.

by selke99 on Oct 13, 2009 8:30 AM CDT up reply actions

Yeah, they are.

Especially with the Jets finally having a good defense.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage day/month/whatever

Coach Ryan showed some Cajones running a 2nd fake punt in the half. Fins had him behind the line too.

Damn

Why aren’t they rushing Sanchez?

by selke99 on Oct 12, 2009 8:59 PM CDT reply actions

The good thing that could come out of that is that it will force defenders to go for the ball instead of the beheading.

Maybe that could help the Boys get a few more picks this year.

is it bad

That I find myself having a man-crush on Brooking, the dude is always solid, what a great value, I think Ray Lewis is the same type of rah rah guy, that brooking is but we saved with Brooking and Igor a ton, imagine if we resigned Canty, and signed Ray Lewis the type of cap hell we would be in.

I really hope that these guys can start cleaning up each facet of the game, and start to utilize their weapons and put a flippin complete game together, for say….. 60minutes? Is that too much to ask?

Seeing this game makes me sad.

You see good football played by two well coached teams, it just shows that our current coaches do not know how to utilize their personnel and do not know how to get them to rise up to the challenge. Every game for dallas is going to be a dogfight and the coaches will just be there with their hands in their pockets not knowing what to do.

It makes it hard to really evaluate the players completely because who is there to keep them inline, without that the bad tendencies that good teams stamp out to a minimum are common place with this team.

by cowboy78 on Oct 12, 2009 10:51 PM CDT reply actions

eh 2 teams with some mediocre talent really

Jets start hot but suddenly 3-2 with a vulernable run d

Miami can’t play D on the back side for ****, the passing game has been available to the Jets all night, no fear

by AustonianAggie on Oct 13, 2009 1:25 AM CDT up reply actions

I will say Sanchez can throw some very good passes

one pass split a cover two for a down a the 1 yard line, that was excellent

by AustonianAggie on Oct 13, 2009 1:27 AM CDT up reply actions

Yeah but when you look at what they got out of braylon edwards in his 1st start, with a rookie qb

you wouldn’t think they would hit it off so well, especially in the 1st game; it just makes the RW deal look a little less appealing; could it be that JG does not know how to get RW and TR plays to get him the ball? That is what stood out the most in this game.

Ignore the Mainstream Media, EMBRACE THE HATE!!!!

by cowboy78 on Oct 13, 2009 1:34 AM CDT up reply actions

well I for one was on the Miles Austin bandwagon, I was dissappointed in his preseason though. Roy is more like Ted Ginn, he’s better when the ball is in the air for 50 yards

This game showed me that when the game was on the line it was better for their Offense to have the ball. As the clock wound down, everybody scored. Seems like the story so far this season. A goal line stand would of won the game for the Jets like it did for the Boys against Denver, but public perception is entirely on the side of the Jets coming from no where, and against the Boys who are expected to stomp… for whatever reason
