no one gives the giants a chance?
wow im totally seeing the giants winning this one
What the French?! Toast!
hang on, "no one gives the giants a chance?"
we don’t do this by committee. It’s just chance that all three of us like the giants. I don’t discuss the games with them and I doubt they discuss them with each other.
I think it will be a close game, a lot like the Saints/Eagles game. I’m giving the Saints a slight edge at home.
Nobody is going 16-0 this year, so the Giants have to lose sometime.

For me, it comes down to the Saints having a very solid running game...
Now that they stopped giving significant carries to that glorified slotback Reggie Bush. Also Brandon Jacobs is running like a little fairy this year and Eli has played pretty damn near to perfection so he’s almost due for a bad game.
At home, coming off a bye, Drew Brees, Darren Sharper, and a running game.
That’s why I like the Saints over the Giants.
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles...

haha
Way to hold true to the Cowboy blood…
No one picks the giants..that’s the way it should be..NO 35 NYG 27
Wade Phillips has never won a playoff game as a head coach..he has lost 4 home playoff games.
His longest tenure as head coach was 3 years.
Only once did his record as a HC improve from one year to the next (by 1 game)

I expect a lot of upsets
Texans over Bengals
Chiefs over Redskins
Bills over Jets
but that’s just me.

Agree with the first two
But the Bills?
The Knights season may have just ended, but the Cowboys year is just begining!

I can see...
Chiefs over Skins and Bucs over Panthers.
Definitely Like
Texans over Bengals. Raf deserves credit for picking Cincinnati as the surprise team of the year, but I don’t think they’re in the 11 or 12 win class. Gimme the Texans and four points.
I like Cincy
but I’m smelling letdown. They’ve had some very tough emotional, last minute wins over the Steelers and Ravens recently. I think some flatness is in order, especially with all the Zimmer emotion.
And the Texans are a maddenly hot-and-cold team that seems to play up or down to the team they’re playing.
Which means they’re either gonna sqeak one out and make me look smart or lose by 21.

I'm having a tough time...
picking Houston with that line. I’m a TX homer and failingly end up picking Houston more than I should. Their defense is just $hit and Benson should run all over them, setting up Palmer and Co. Zimmer has Cincy’s D playing much better, but Texans should still move the ball ok. I’m still picking Texans with the points, but not to win. Hope I’m wrong!
Totally called it.
Booyah!

You're good people, Alex.
Too bad I already owe my bookie multiple limbs so I could never take such chances.
It appears
I owe you an apology Alex. Nice call on the Bills game. I still don’t beleve they could beat Texas Tech.
Don't see many upsets
Vikes
Panthers
Steelers
Packers
Bengals
Chiefs
Saints
Jags
Cards
Beagles
Jets
Pats
Falcons
Broncos
Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, "where the heck is the ceiling?"
If the Chiefs
play anywhere near the way they played Dallas last week, the Redskins are toast. I don’t know what the Bill’s win is based on. Right now I don’t think they could beat Texas Tech.
That Cris Carter sure is a caulksucker.
On ESPN’s little pre-game show, I just heard him refer to the Giants as “Super Bowl Champion from two years ago Giants.” What the “f” is that? Is that standard broadcasting procedure? Why not refer to the Redskins as Super Bowl Champion from 18 years ago? Why don’t you lick Big Blue’s balls a little more, Cris; you ex-crackhead never-won-jack mofo?
Saints across the board, huh?
I guess you’ll are expecting Brees to have a big day after going two whole games without a TD pass and Eli’s plantiar fasciitis to throw him off. Anyhow, I have a conundrum in my fantasy league. Should I start Correll Buckhalter or one of the Saints’ backs; Bell or Thomas? I suspect the Giants bloated run D totals are due to the Cowboys’ big day against them while the Chargers will surely be worse off without Jamal Williams.
again on the "across the board"
we don’t do this by committee. I make my picks, dave send me his and aaron sends me his and I put them together.
We’re not like the weekend shows where we get in a room and try to b.s. one another.
I find I pick a lot worse when I discuss the games with people beforehand.
by Rafael Vela on Oct 18, 2009 10:49 AM CDT up reply actions
I actually didn't mean anything literal with "across the board."
I was simply referring to the fact that the Saints pick was unanimous. Actually, that sounds a bit goofy that anybody would think you guys had a conference call or three-way chat BS’ing each other about who to pick.
Me thinks thou doth protest too much
3-2 headed for the bye week.

Didn't see the Beagles game
Is this team bipolar or what. Did the Raider’s play well or did the Beagles just suck that bad?
But I meant to pick the Panthers and the Cheifs...lol!
