Jeff Fischer, anyone?
For all the Wade haters out there, and I'm NOT saying I'm not one myself, here's another name to throw into the ring, along with Holmgren, Shanahan and "Chucky". The Titans, as of this post, are down 52-0 and showing very little life. I'm not saying he's going to get fired, or even that he SHOULD get fired, but in this day and age you JUST NEVER KNOW! If he became available after the season would you rather have him over someone like Shanahan? He's more of a tough, defense minded type that Shanahan or Holmgren which might be what this team needs. But then again, Parcells was the same thing and look where that got us.

The way he is right now H*** No
He may be good but the way he is right now scares me. Were Not doing that great now But I don’t to have a coach who is 0-5 [They will be 0-6 after this game ends ] To be our coach. I rather have Shanahan who is doing better than fisher

do the Titans have some injuries we dont know about?
because the only thing different between this team and last years team is losing Jim Shwartz and Albert Haynesworth. Haynesworth is only doing things in Madden 10, not in real life.
So has Shwartz been the man behind the curtain all this time? Why can’t Fischer get his team to play for him anymore?
Why are we even discussing this guy? Who has always underachieved except for 1 year, 10 years ago?
Coach Winters: Mississippi State's offensive set. 2nd & 2 on our own 24, what defensive set might we call?
Alvin Mack: Eagle Zipper Hero, unless the setback shifts into the I.
Coach Winters: Good..[clicks to next slide], third and seven?
Alvin Mack: Oakie Thunder Lion. {What's your assignment?}
Alvin Mack: Kill the quarterback. {{Coach Winters clicks to next slide}}
Alvin Mack: Hit the tight end so hard his girlfriend dies. {{Coach Winters clicks to next slide}}
Alvin Mack: Kill everybody.

Yes they top 2 corners are hurt..
Losing a top 5 DT and very talented DCordinator is huge.. Kerry Collins is not a good QB

a couple of players are hurt in the secondary but thats really it...
I said this before, I believe a coach can stay too long. I think it’s time for Fisher to move on..

he probably needs a fresh start
he would be at the top of my list – he has been very good for many years, and seems very measured in his approach.

I think its amazing that this team goes from a 13-3 team
who I thought were the best team in the league last year to 0-6 and if not for the Rams, maybe the worst team in the league this year and they have almost every single player back from last season.
Just goes to show you the difference between winning and losing in this league is very small.

Yeah, it doesn’t seem so bad to go from 13-3 to 9-7 in comparison.

I think Jeff Fisher is a very good coach
but let’s face a simple fact.
His team was 13-3 last year, had a good draft by most standards and yet WAS THE FIRST TEAM TO QUIT THIS YEAR.
How is quitting a month into the season not on Fisher’s head when penalties are on Wade’s?
And let me add, how happy will all the rippers be when Fisher’s teams are going 13-3 and going one and out in the playoffs? Isn’t that what the ’07 Cowboys did. Then, Wade was the “Hillbilly Clown” but Fisher is the “tough, defensive minded guy this team needs.”
Interesting how two identical seasons are read in such different ways. And Fisher has done this before, taking a top seed into the playoffs and taking a dive.
Let’s summarize — he was a .500 coach for five seasons.
He’s been to one Super Bowl in fifteen seasons.
How many people would be happy if he did the same thing here? I’ll bet they’ll be calling for his head too.

very well said Raf

It's all payback for trying to embarrass the Cowboys.
I think we all know that the Titans punter intentionally hit the scoreboard, and then Jeff Fisher vowed to abuse his position on the competition committee to create a fuss about it. Obviously I don’t have proof, but you’ll never convince me that Fisher didn’t tell their punter to do that. The football gods don’t like those types of shenanigans.

There did seem to be some animosity almost
Between Fisher and Jerry, IMO
I don’t think Fisher is high up on Jerry’s list of possible candidates.
I like Fisher as a coach, but after that 59-0 loss, I don’t think as highly of his abilities.
3-2 headed for the bye week.

Hell Yes
I would take him right now if that were possible. The guy is the best name of the bunch as far as I’m concerned.

It got us right into the "tournament"...
…in Parcells’ first season (with Quincy Carter at Quarterback)!!!
That’s where it got us!

welll
something is brewing bc on the espn pregame they said the GM will reevaluate the whole coaching staff including Fisher. Something is going on down there, true they lost some people and some are injured but they should have at least a few w’s buy now.
