Some new drama to take attention away from the boys

I could not believe the story when I saw it but my initial reaction was WOW.  Either he was definitely taking a shot at he owner who said that Fisher's job is not safe after this season.  Then Fisher shows up at function to honor Tony Dungy and he is wearing a Peyton Manning Jersey and says, "I just wanted to feel like a winner".  The event is either a bad joke gone horribly wrong or he is taking a jab back at the owner.  Judging by the Titans SBnaton site it has set off a fanbase that is very confused right now.

Wow.

What a novel, and maybe effective way of motivating your team.

Personal appeals aren’t working. And if it gets him out of his contact, does anybody doubt he’ll have lots of offers next year?

Thought it was funny..

but some of those posters on their site sure didn’t. I guess 0-6 after such promise before the season began takes all the humor out of you.

Funny, but brutal.

It’s all about the mustache.

I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles...

Fisher is done with TEN

Even if he thought it would be funny (which it is to fans of 31 NFL teams) if he had any concern about keeping his job in TEN, he probably would have erred on the side of caution and not worn a division rival’s jersey to a public speaking event.

3-2 headed for the bye week.

Even if he was trying to be humerous it creates an even larger distraction; it is just baffling. I could not even

imagine what would have happened here if WP did something similar; the outcry would have been unbelievable.

A lot of Cowboys fans are already wanting Wade gone, it’s not as if that would put it over the top.

I thought it was funny. And at 0-6……I’d take funny

Wow, TItans fans are high strung

I thought it was pretty funny. It was clear he was poking fun at himself. The guys over at MCM should be embarrassed by their overreaction.

But, I suppose it will be all they talk about on ESPN, NFLN, etc. today. I do see how that could become a distraction…but they’re 0-6. Wasn’t like they were going to accomplish much of anything either way.

I'm a big WP supporter but,

if he wore an Eagles jersey and tried to make a joke like that, I would have to punch him in the throat fat.

Pathetic

I can’t believe people want this guy to be the coach here. I mean, talk about poor decision making…

Maybe he needs to worry more about his team quitting on him last week than making jokes about how bad they are.

Quite frankly, I didn't think it was a big deal

He was just trying to be funny and people should just lighten up about it.

It was just poor decision making.

It’s one of those things. Is it that big of a deal that he wore the jersey of an opposing team? Maybe not to everyone, but obviously it would be so to at least some of his team and their fan base. As a leader, he should know better than to invite that type of controversy when his team is struggling like they are. It shows a lack of respect to his team and their fans, and causes people to question his judgment, obviously. Whether that’s right or not is debatable, but clearly he could have avoided creating the situation for himself and his team.

That said, it doesn’t surprise me at all from him. I don’t understand why anyone would want him to coach here over what we have now.

I disagree

People just need to lighten up
