I'm Enjoying Eating My Words
And when I'm apparently wrong about a Cowboys player, I'll happily admit it.
Mike Jenkins is playing some great football. His coverage skills have sharpened considerably, and apparently Wade did in fact send him to 6 year old pee-wee leagues over the summer so he could learn how to tackle learn how to handle contact. He had a great open field tackle of Turner (I believe) in the 4th quarter, and Turner is a much more intimidating back thank Derrick Ward ever was.
Kudos, Mike. I'll take a little salt with my crow if you don't mind.

Yeah I always knew Jenkins had what it takes
he was a physical corner at South Florida and has great recovery speed. I was really happy we got him where he landed in the draft.

The poor tackler slam was never valid
He’s was a beast in college.
What I credit Jenkins for is improving his technique in coverage. He admitted that at his level in college he was just better thant he other guys and never really had to work at it. I think he carried some of that into the pros but has since wised up. Good on him.

Jenkins really got away with illegal contact
or PI on his INT, he clearly shoved Mike Jenkins to the ground right before he picked off that pass.
The kid is super aggressive, I’ll give him that.

dude I'm not mad at all
I love the fact Jenkins is playing well, but I still think before it’s all said and done Scandrick will be the better player. Give it some time.

I love them both
But they are going to be some growing pains with them both. earlier this year OSCAN appeared to have distanced himself, recently though Jenkins play has really improved…The INT’s look good for him too!

How did Scandrick distance himself?
He looked completely lost in his first (and only) start.

He's turning into a downright NASTY player.
I love it. It’s what we need in our secondary. Besides the solid open field tackles and big hits on receivers, he put the other Mike Jenkins on the ground several times bumping him at the line. This is the physical Mike Jenkins we all thought we were getting.

Exactly my thoughts...
Nice to see our secondary has guys in Jenkins and Sensabaugh finally willing to really lay the wood.
And on another note, even Alan Ball made a good play yesterday. This secondary is looking better than it has in a while.
If I had a nickel for every Super Bowl the Eagles have won, I would have zero nickels.

Jenkins had a great game
but all our guys were hitting. I’ve been mad as hell about the way they were backing off WRs and then making plays after the ball was caught. Not so yesterday. Jenkins, Sensei, Scandrick , Ball and Brooking all making plays on the receiver as the ball is coming. It was great to see them contesting that way. Let them play the receivers like that every game and watch them have fun.
