wonder if Buehler's kicks will be flying even further in that thin Denver air
by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Oct 4, 2009 11:32 AM CDT reply actions
i read somewhere
that he played in thinner air and boinked his kickoffs off the cross bar in college, had some crazy amount of touchbacks that game…
by CowboysFan4Life on Oct 4, 2009 11:57 AM CDT up reply actions
awesome CBFan - i had put my little theory together so i could get pumped...that was all
the validation i needed : ) – fired up to watch his kicking today – we just need to make sure we score plenty so he gets the chance to show off that leg
by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Oct 4, 2009 12:11 PM CDT up reply actions
lol
yeah his kicking has been big and can be important in the feild position battle BUT theres about 10 other things im more pumped to see lol
31 till I die
i dont think
thats always the strategy. im pretty sure he could do it every kick in a normal home game, but it seems like sometimes he will kick one high and try and hit around the goal line and let the coverage unit pin them inside the 20
31 till I die
im sure he will try for a F.G. on his KO's
Anyway let’s hope my trash talking this week didn’t jinx us…
I don't need a compass to know which way the wind shines....

its a shame
espn employs losers liike keyshawn and chris carter… i like berman, ditka and tom jackson… but keyshawn and chris are just hard to watch, little easier to just mute the tv when they talk
by CowboysFan4Life on Oct 4, 2009 11:58 AM CDT reply actions
That is why they are there, otherwise berman would look worse.
it is the old looks better by comparrison; Berman and Jackson look better by comparrison because the other two are taking it to a whole new level of douchebaggary.
Ignore the Mainstream Media, EMBRACE THE HATE!!!!
i agree
ive never liked berman. his jokes have gotten old and he seems to not really know much. he makes these crazy upset picks all the time just to look like a genius if they actually happen.
31 till I die
uh how do you say +1 to infinity....those turd-knockers give it to the Giants on the opening kickoff for
cryin out loud…can they at least let us think for a quarter or two that they have a chance of beating the Giants
by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Oct 4, 2009 12:14 PM CDT up reply actions
eli
isnt looking good either though. chiefs got screwed on that personal foul that led to the td
31 till I die
7-0 lions
chicago offsides during a field goal kept the drive alive
in one run
forte nearlys equaled his season high
WOW -w hat a catch Flacco to Mason for a Ravens TD...7-3 over NE assuming xtra

if anybody has att uverse, they're giving a free HD preview of NFL red zone today...
think maybe you have to subscribe to the HD channel package, but the channel is free today….good stuff
by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Oct 4, 2009 12:26 PM CDT reply actions
wish I had u-verse
1 block from my apartment complex. Oh well, I MIGHT be able to get it in 2010 (am I’m a freaking Prem Tech! [uverse installer]).
I AM THE LAST NAKED WARRIOR!
i hear that....one thing i noticed though - their plain jane digital signal is not very good...watching
NFL/NBA games, when they pan back to show the entire court / field, the players look like something from Atari 2600….all pixellated
but just signed up to try out their HD package yesterday, and must say the HD quality is much, muuch better
lot of people out on AVSForum.com seem to be knocking uverse about their signal quality
by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Oct 4, 2009 12:40 PM CDT up reply actions
yeah, if you have u-verse and you watch sports, you definitely want to get the HD.
Though I will say that the U-verse picture quality here (Little Rock, AR) is definitely better than the other providers (Comcast, Direct, DISH). Understandably that plays out differently in different markers.

anyone having problems with espn.com??
it won’t let me log in to check my fantasy score…
by CowboysFan4Life on Oct 4, 2009 12:26 PM CDT reply actions
interesting
still won’t let me sign in…

u might try killing your browser and restarting it, or even doing a windows repair on your
network connection (the little icon in the bottom right system tray, where your clock is….right click the network icon and choose ‘repair’ from the popup)
but if you browsing BTB ok, then your net connection is prob. fine…not sure what would be causing the espn issue
by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Oct 4, 2009 12:42 PM CDT up reply actions
yeah
ive tried 3 different browsers… my net is fine… thanks for the help tho
by CowboysFan4Life on Oct 4, 2009 12:47 PM CDT up reply actions
np - i only went to espn.com...the URL for their fantasy stuff might be different...and
that server is prob. getting slammed hard today being football Sunday…
by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Oct 4, 2009 12:51 PM CDT up reply actions
finally back up
must have just been a server issue

Lions look pretty good so far
whats up with the rookie qbs doing well? Lions are putting the ball in staffords hands a lot to start the game
They just drove right through chicago twice
2 third and long completions. The oline is giving them all day to throw. Bears defense looks awful right now
lol
simmons was talkin about that.. how everyone is so surprised when first round qb’s actually do well.

Manningham
Seems to bobble or tip every ball thrown to him, hmm something to keep an eye on.
by TONYINCC on Oct 4, 2009 12:34 PM CDT via mobile reply actions
his inconsistent Michigan days catching up to him

was it him
That bobbled the ball in the endzone against newman? I thought it was, maybe he has small hands, or he has horrible focus, either way I’m glad to see, I hope is very consistent and drops and bobbles, lol.
by TONYINCC on Oct 4, 2009 12:47 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions
how good must haynesworth be?
they go from best defense in the league to the worst….
Can't be that good
The Redskins still suck.
"When it's third and ten, you can take the milk drinkers and I'll take the whiskey drinkers every time." -Max McGee
hes been hurt
i don’t remember when he got hurt last week, but it was for a significant portion of the game
Lions have
6 drives of 79plus yards the last two weeks…4 over 80. Thats crazy
all the ff players who started cincy's defense
it just paid off.
One was more on manningham
he had a really bad bobble. Pass was behind him though…where have i heard that before…o right, all the critics who blamed romo for that ridiculous INT that bounced off witten’s foot
i missed it
Did they overturn it, or did it stand?
by TONYINCC on Oct 4, 2009 1:17 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions
he has the best offensive line in the nfl
give him the skins line and he is garbage. then again not many qbs could play behind that line
Before the season
I told my one of my friends that Washington would be better than the Eagles this year. They improved the defense in the offseason, had some decent receivers, a good O-Line and Running Back, and I thought Campbell would improve. I saw the Eagles as staying pat – except for Westbrook’s injury concerns.
He called last week to ask if I was officially ready to say that I was wrong. I refused.
I called this afternoon at 1:20 to officially admit my mistake.
I was wrong too.
I didn’t see Campbell and the Redskins taking such a severe back step this season. Man….
I AM THE LAST NAKED WARRIOR!
big of you to admit
Stubborn not to do it much earlier
by TONYINCC on Oct 4, 2009 1:15 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions
I thought the same thing
and wow was I wrong. I started cambell in a 2 qb league this week – even that somehow looks like an awful decision.
but there is one thing about washington – they are generally a physical team without a ton of talent. They play up to their competition (wins against us, philly (2) last year) and play down to the competition (lost to rams and bengals). This year, they’ve started with the easy part of their schedule….which makes them look bad, but they probably will still give us and philly trouble
I almost feel sorry for Jason Campbell
Just seems like his career was never given a chance to take off.

Redskin's Punter
I’ve sprained my ankle a few times and it really hurt. I can’t imagine spraining my groin. ouch!!!!
wheres mcfadden?
i had to chose between him and mendenhall for today and its looking like i made the wrong choice. did he get hurt in the game?
and needless to say...
they end it with a FG…last i saw he had 3 carries for -5 yards
is jacobs hurt
Seems like bradshaw is getting all the carries
by TONYINCC on Oct 4, 2009 1:24 PM CDT via mobile reply actions
McFadden
Sometimes 1st isn’t always best, he sure got the short end of the stick compared with Felix

Chiefs are pathetic
If I were a Chiefs fan I’d go into hiding, burn all my fan stuff. This is earl and ralph sickening..

I saw tuck on the sideline having his toes looked at in the 2nd half; does anyone know if he is back in?
Ignore the Mainstream Media, EMBRACE THE HATE!!!!
I picked up Steve Smith in all my leagues from free agency and he is killing it today that was a great pickup
+1
giants seem to have their wr. Manningham has been awful today though
How can you have a bad day
against the chiefs D, seriously
by dcfansinceiwasababy on Oct 4, 2009 1:51 PM CDT up reply actions
now Smith is up to 36.6 points
what is even better is another guy in my league picked up manningham before I got Smith, so he could have had Smith. I could hardly believe he was available when I checked. Nice to get a WR1 on FA lol.
just about to post this
this is just unbelievable….may as well put VY in at this point if they do think hes the qb of the future. Cause this season is over.
Hugely reconsidering
The red Mini Cooper I want so bad, fool everyone into thinkin I root for the Chiefs round here. Too shameful

This year's colt's team
is a friggin’ juggernaut. I’ve never, ever, seen a quarterback better than Peyton is playing right now. It’s unfair how the game is so slow for him. He’s like Keanu at the end of the first Matrix.
Right there is your super bowl winners, folks.
lets slow it down a minute
and wait till he tears up a half decent team. look at who theyve played.. not sayin hes not great, but lets wait till he does this to a good d before we anoint him SB champs, unless youre goin for the jinx, in that case… the colts are unstoppable
31 till I die
redskins tie it up
campbell finalllly gets out of the negatives for me. Donovan McNabb was outperforming him
Nope
Blocked Extra Point. It shows the skins lack of effort.
I HATE the redskins,
but even I am beginning to feel sorry for them. nah!
The Bears-Lions game
is becoming a great example of how special teams can decide a game. I feel so much more confident in this phase with Buehler and McBriar
Deep TD to Moss
did campbell just throw a deep ball?? wait… DID ZORN JUST CALL A DEEP PASS? ANARCHY!!!!
31 till I die
not over yet
although i guess its unlikely sims-walker and clark will catch many more balls up by that much.
Buffalo against miami is an interesting matchup. If Henne craps the bed, which he very well could, you’ve got a shot.
yeah not over yet
but you’ve still got fjax, vjax and keller to go
so unless ward totally lights it up or the bills come thru big like you said, which i doubt…
can oakland get any worse?
they allow a safety and then on the punt allow houston to return it for a touchdown…i dont see why they cant give the ball to mcfadden a few times i dont see how it could hurt
stafford with a game killing fumble
I tnk its gonna be hard to come back after that, unless the bears turn it over. Overall, hes played well, but a couple pretty terrible turnovers have hurt them. Two turnovers and awful special teams. Sounds like last year for us.
Still…the lions don’t look that bad really.
Cutler nearly obliged
its not over yet…Chicago just doesn’t look too good.
thats huge for the ravens
the pats d is playin well…. the o cant be givin up free points
It's not cocky if it's a lie.
Cincinatti is tied with the browns...
This team is trying their hardest to go against expectations this year
Brady got striped and fumbled
resulting in a raven TD, guess Romo isn’t the only one who doesn’t protect the ball.
Happens to even the best.
In Romo we Trust
lol seemed like it after the giants game
even saw some people throwin kitnas name out there.. kind of amusing
It's not cocky if it's a lie.
You know things aren't good when....
you line up for an onside kick in the 3rd quarter against the jags…
It's not cocky if it's a lie.
where can i watch the game!!

Get this lions game
off the air! These last 8 minutes have taken forever. Chicago needs to learn how to run the ball in the fourth
I hear ya
This Chiefs game is like watchin grass grow
