Here in DC

We only get two afternoon games. Washington and Denver on CBS, and Dallas-Green Bay late. I’ll mainly be doing graduate work until our game starts at 4pm.

I've got Saints/Rams or Bengals/Steelers

Go Rams!

I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles...

by Aaron Novinger on Nov 15, 2009 12:15 PM CST up reply actions

I've got Panthers/Falcons

8 point game right now. An ATL loss would make the playoff race very very interesting. Our game today has a lot of playoff implications really, especially with the Eagles/Chargers game. We could come out of this game with a 2 game Beast lead, or we could come out tied with Philly and right in the thick of what seems like a 9 team wildcard hunt.

I could do the vikings/lions.

weird day in the nfl. vikings only up 2 on the lions. panthers up big on the falcons.

It is early…

cant believe the bengals let rothlisberger have it easy

1 and ten almost intercepted in the end zone
2 and ten interception dropped
3 and ten DB could not sack him, he dances to the left and completes for 15 yards.
by the time I finish typing he’ll probably score TD

by dcfanz on Nov 15, 2009 1:09 PM CST reply actions

The saints..

Allow a lot of points and especially a lot of yards on the ground (or at least it appears).

I actually like Dallas’ chance against NO if we are still playing at a high level..

by SDTrueblue on Nov 15, 2009 1:30 PM CST via mobile reply actions

Beating the Saints

Would be nice. We beat them like a drum the first two decades of their existence (11-1), but we haven’t beaten them since Bill Clinton’s first term (1994). We haven’t matched up well against them at all the last several games.

by kindablue on Nov 15, 2009 1:37 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah but our last beatdown had to do with Peyton knowing his mentor's weakness. Sean pulled this team's pants

down by showing that we had no way to cover anyone out of the flat.

few long drives ending with a TD's thats how can beat them

limit the time Brees has on offence and score some points. Carolina almost did it last week, before collapsing in the fourth qtr

the steelers defense.....

both teams are playing really well defensively.

Yeah..

it’s a little early to call 8 for 17 an off game, but he’s missed a few WR’s

They keep leaving points on the the field.

Not just redzone stops but the field goal off the post and the botched extra point. They are up 3 right now and should be up 7.

Historically Dallas can't win in Lambeau :)

Of Course That Was

More due to when the franchises have played each other. As luck had it, Dallas always went into Lambeau when the Packers had a good (or in some years, great) team.

On the other hand, we’ve been playing in domes for nearly four decades, and have laid some of our biggest eggs there—Detroit comes immediately to mind.

by kindablue on Nov 15, 2009 2:20 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah I think this year's team breaks

the mold of how the franchise has been historically, though. Things just feel different to me…they seem mentally stronger

Well yeah,

but when it’s not a Green Bay or a Philly, then I’m not as worried about it. We could do a lot worse that NO and Minn.

NYG and Philly are the only two teams left that I would be concerned about cold

weather in the playoffs about. I don’t think any others (that play outdoors in the cold) are threats to take us to their fields.

I was just naming a couple northern teams

to point out we could have it worse than the two teams in first, weather wise.

yep, or Japan, anyway.

we’d probably have like 50 yards passing in the Windy City, and about 150 rushing yards for a 10-3 bruiser of a game.

by mdlusk on Nov 15, 2009 2:34 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah, similar to our game in Pittsburgh last year

without the 4th quarter collapse of course. Did you see the story of how they play that one song (can’t think of the name) over the PA system that pumps up the players and fans, and SUPPOSEDLY, they played it right before the Steelers made their 4th quarter comeback against us last year. Kind of interesting, I guess.

Lions have played well

they’ve done a good job containing peterson. THe one play he broke loose, Philip Buchanon did an incredible job running him down and poking the ball away.

Honestly, they’re one missed offensive PI call on sydney rice from being tied.

by foyesboys on Nov 15, 2009 2:21 PM CST up reply actions

Redskins Have Come

Alive. A couple of big plays have them in the Denver red zone.

them keep losing. I don’t want that team to have any momentum next week

they suck all year and they’re going to get things going for when they play Dallas.

I Think They Play

Us close regardless of how bad they are. They always do.

by kindablue on Nov 15, 2009 2:27 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah they still have O-line issues that won't be going away.

I really think this Broncos team is overrated and just waiting to collapse. That game was so frustrating for us. We should have blown them out. We couldn’t get the running game going, thanks to injuries, and not to mention Miles Austin was still a back up.

according to Fox's pre-game show

the GB players had one of those dreaded players-only meetings. I’m expecting that we’ll see them really fired up at the start of the game. We’re going to have to really play mistake-free ball and take them back out of it early, or it could get ugly. I’m thinking this will be one we might have to win at the last minute.

by mdlusk on Nov 15, 2009 2:24 PM CST reply actions

I don't know..

They can come out fired up all they want, but the line can’t block off of adrenaline. I’d say we’ll be good if we stop their first drive, but we proved in the ATL game that we can still shut a team down even after a good first drive. Team only meetings are a last ditch desparation effort to turn things around.

I agree the peckers will come out all pumped up make a few plays, as long as dallas makes it tackes, get 1st downs

and do not turn the ball over; reality will set in for the peckers in the 2nd half and dallas will be playing with a lead.
