If this

were horseracing, they’d have brought out the giant curtain and giant needle.

Notice how the pregame crew had almost nothing to say about dallas game but had a whole segment

to the 4&2 decision by belicheck.

Gruden just said we need an "interprotater" for the rules

Sounds like he’s been attending the Emmit Smith school of broadcasting

To me he is the walking cliche machine, he has found his nitch, and it is not coaching. He just signed a contract extension

with BSPN; he has tasted the easy life of being a talking head and getting paid just as well as a head coach.

I think this is a new factor in the sports world. Coaches working for about 3-5 years as a HC and if that does not work out have a new career as a talking head. To me it started with Inside the NFL, they had all former players talking about the games; over the last ten years they brought in “relatively newer” faces into the show and it carried over to BSPN, and other places that did pregame shows. The shows have become their own entity, the games are just the sideshow, the show is about the personalities; so the turnover on talking head talent is interchangable, they only need to have a name that is recognizable. I mean if Matt Millen can get a job talking about football knowledge considering the disaster he was in charge of in Det; then anyone can get in on the fun.

The microwave analysis mixed with coaches leaving the hard job of coaching to the cushy realm of TV/radio will mean that the coaching pool now has a new drain source. I think that the real challenge for teams now is to have a good coaching staff and keeping the staff together long enough to turn out a good unit. The challenge is that teams change staffs every year and position coaches and coordinators leave for a better gig; older coaches get burnt out and turn to television and almost never return. This adds to the parity in the league.

Yeah, that's kind of bogus

So according to the “Brady Rule”, the defender on the ground can’t tackle the QB low, so he’d have to get back up then tackle…huh?
