Around SBN: Penn State Recruiting Roundup Is Set For A Big Junior Day

Remember...The only thing that matters is how we're playing heading into January.

It doesn't matter if we have two straight games scoring only 7 points in November.

THE only thing that matters: How are we going to be playing as 2009 winds to a close? Will we be peaking then?

I'd like to think our best game of the regular season will be Jan. 3rd @ home vs. Philly, and we'll ride that momentum DEEP into the playoffs.

Make it so, 'Boys! Make it so!

Exactly, I'll take

3 more weeks of 7-6 wins and than nobody would want to play us, because will be peaking

No the only thing that matters is getting to play in January

After that, anything can happen. Ask last year’s Arizona Cardinals, who lost 4 of their last 6 games and then made a run that was seconds from a Lombardi.

I think it's a little of both.

I don’t think the Cowboys need to go 5-0 to end the season, but at least 3-2 with no double digit losses would be a big improvement, and not only get them in the playoffs, but give them some confidence and momentum.

Unlike the Cardinals, who were in cruise control, 2-4 over our last 6 probably isn’t going to get us in.

I agree 2-4 will kill us, but we'll cross that bridge once we get there

In the meantime, we need to realize that every win counts, even the ones we win 7-6 and play like crap. No matter what the media says, just getting TO the playoffs is an improvement over last year. So for now, that should be the ONLY goal of this team. Secure a playoff spot. Once that is accomplished, can move on to the next goal.

It isn't comparable

To compare anything about this December to OTHER Decembers is crazy. Not that the OP did, but. . .

We’re staring realistically at 3 straight losses to open December. NYG, SD, NO.

Can we come back and close out our last two?

That’s the question.

If we can beat NYG and PHI, that might be good enough.

But I’m seeing a bad beginning to December. Not because of our track record (I don’t believe in that) but because of the team right now, and our competition.

Homers, bring it on! :)
