Felix for 40+
With his 46-yard TD jaunt in the Raiders game, Felix Jones now has 3 runs of at least 40 yards so far this season.
The other two include a 56-yarder against the Giants and a 40 yarder against the Panthers.
Dude is a big play machine! So far as I can remember, the Cowboys have not had a running back with at least 3 40+ yard running plays since Emmitt in his absolute prime (1993 and 1995). And not to take anything away from Mr. Smith, but he had far more opportunities to break his long runs. Before, then, not even Tony Dorsett himself had as many long runs in a single season.
We all have been frustrated with Felix's various injuries and his lack of carries when healthy. But this is just a little reminder of how truly special he is.

Everytime I see that highlight of him running, finally not gettng tripped up by an ankle tackle
that used to trip him up and hopping up and down into the endzone just makes me laugh with joy. I felt for MB3 on this game, he had a pass catch, and run that went for big yards; you look at him running his heart out and he could not run away from the defense but he wanted it so bad.
Ignore the Mainstream Media, EMBRACE THE HATE!!!!
can we get him involved in the passing game?
you know throw him a screen out of the backfield, send him out on a dely route here and there?
I would like to have seen the pass that MB3 got have gone to felix.

If we were the Titans
All those touches would go to one RB. When healthy, I think Felix can be
like Chris Johnson.
Will he ever get that many touches?

hopefully
Seems like everytime they get ready to open him up he gets dinged.
I think we stick to mixing in all of our backs. I would love too see him with 15+ touches, but not sure he is ready for that. I think he can be that guy soon though. You can see he is getting bigger, his legs are definitely bigger. You have remember this is a guy who only benched 225 9 times at the combine. You can tell the strength and conditioning coach is getting him ready for the NFL.

I believe they threw him two flanker screens yesterday
for a combined one yard. Not the greatest result, but at least they’re trying. I’d prefer screens and swing passes. They tried one screen to Barber (incomplete AND a penalty) and a swing pass to Barber (42 yards). Seemed like Oakland blitzed quite a bit, but only 4 passing plays specifically to the RBs. But I guess I’m not complaining.
yeah, but i'd like to see him on regular or middle RB screens
get him matched up on some LB’s
Felix is special, no doubt about that
Only achilles heel to this guy is his proneness to injuries.
My fiance at the game yesterday said, “wow, is he ever fast!”
In Romo we Trust
Agreed
He looks fast. He and Smiles are our game breakers.

all 3 RBs healthy going into December is a huge plus
But especially Felix. That burst thru the hole was what we expect of him, and I love how he jumped around in the end zone after the play, that was so fun, my wife watched the replay and cracked up, he was just so overjoyed to have finally found the end zone. I was actually a bit worried he would strain his knee again the way he was jumping around lol, but that just showed the confidence he has in the knee now. He looked pretty close to fully healthy to me.
agreed
I love Felix, but Choice also broke a 60 yard run.. Had it been Felix it would have been a TD, but that guy has knack for breaking off long runs.

yeah as Choice was running down the field I was like, Turn on the afterburners, Tashard! Where’s that 5th gear?! He just doesn’t have the same top end breakaway speed that Felix does, but he sure does a great job with nice vision from the direct snap finding the crease and getting through it.
me 2.
You can tell they have been practicing the direct snap, the 1st couple of attempts were no bueno, but we are starting to make positive plays out of it now.
Do you think they increase Felix’s and TChoice’s role with Barber slowed by injury?

on that long wildcat run...
… it seemed like he slowed down when he kept looking over his shoulder.
I wonder if he never looked back and never veered left… maybe he goes all the way to score.
Just a thought.
Is playing smart too much to ask?

after review.
Tashard was moving, he only got tracked down Nnamdi because he ran towards him, and Nnamdi ran in straight line. If Nnamdi doesn’t hustle down he runs away from the defenders.

I didn’t hold it against Tash when he caught him from behind.

We all know how much Al loves speed
If I had a nickel for every Super Bowl the Eagles have won, I would have zero nickels.

great run and end move to pick up some added yards
Tashard knew he was going to be tackled sooner if he didn’t swerve. that move probably added 5 more yards to the run.
Well done the new MR T…………………
