We go big or we go home...

I just can't help but feel there is no middle ground this weekend.  No "Hey we lost, but it was close and we'll get 'em next time."

No "Hey, we won, but it was close and we could do better."

Nope.  Not this time.  We go big, or we go home.  That's my prediction.  This game, I think, will go one of two ways:

Scenario #1

Cowboys score early and often.  We give up one big play to Jackson, and stumble and give up a big play on special teams, but our D-backs step up for the most part, D-ware and the Rat get a couple sacks each, and our offense is lights out.  Miles has a 90 yard game, Roy gets in the mix to hush the Media, the trio in the backfield have a solid day, and Crayton gets us good yardage on all those punts that the D forces.

and then there's that other option...

Scenario #2

Dismal.  Remnants of last season's closing game.  McNabb makes our D-backs look foolish. d-ware and Rat get shut out.  Romo slips back into the turnover machine mode.  Crayton fumbles the few punts we force.

Not sure why, I just feel like this won't be a "shoot out that;s decided on the last possession" like the NFL films guy said.

But, I could be wrong. And if I'm right, God let it be scenario 1.

scenario 2 won't happen

and I’m not so sure about #1 as well.

I don't see either of these scenarios

I think both teams bring their “A” game, and it’s decided by a successful or unsuccessful final drive by one of us.

I agree with you two

These two teams are too savvy and prepared to have either one get blown out. The final game last year was a fluke as the boys and eagles normally play each other very well.

I see a three to five point game, max.

Remember week 2 last year?

41-37.

This week it’s Miles Austin vs. DeSean Jackson. I think it could easily be a shootout.

2009 Dallas Cowboys: 10-6
2009 New York Jets: 11-5?
2009-2010 Dallas Mavericks: 57-25

This will be an awesomely close game; both teams will be up and salivating.

Eh...

Doubtful..people on both sides of this fan-fight seem to forget that this is a road game against a pretty evenly matched division rival…

44-6 was the exception and not the rule…

Evenly matched team = close game

Road game = home team SHOULD Win

Philly likes to drop the 44 -6 bomb on us..but really other than the demoralizing nature of that loss..even if it had been 44-43.. same difference. Philly was still just holding serve and protecting home field just like we did in week 2.

This is a game that means more the Philadelphia than it does to Dallas.
If Dallas loses then they just need to win in week 17 to hold serve.
If Philly loses they might be expected to go to Dallas in week 17 and pull off a big road win for a Playoff spot…

Again..when two closely matched teams play the home team is expected to win the game.. if the Cowboys lose it will not be gloom and doom (unless of course it is 44 -6).. but if Philly loses..then watch out..

Wade Phillips has never won a playoff game as a head coach..he has lost 4 home playoff games.
His longest tenure as head coach was 3 years.
Only once did his record as a HC improve from one year to the next (by 1 game)

I know fans think this way

but in reality, I don’t think this team cares how they win as long as they get the W.

Theres an obvious difference between a blowout loss and competitive loss though. I’d be shocked if we get blown out.
