Westbrook Expected to Sit for Sunday
Game Day Update:
It is reported that Eagles Running Back Brian Westbrook (concussion) is not going to play today versus the Cowboys on Sunday night football..
The oft-injured Westbrook has been replaced in the lineup by LeShawn McCoy who has been filling it admirably in his stead and is nearly a carbon copy player running and catching the football.
However, Westbrook is a much better pass protecting QB and he has had a tendency to be a thorn in the Cowboys side. This could be a key loss to the Philadelphia offense in terms of their pass protection against an improving Dallas pass rush.

That's the best news so far this morning...
I just heard about it on ESPN. Awesome. I’ll take any advantage we can get.

you don't make sense
he’s just saying he’s glad Westbrook isn’t playing, has nothing to do with rooting for injuries because Westbrook’s injury occured weeks ago.

Sorta Like..
Cheering for an injured player getting carted off? A la Michael Irvin… :) We still haven’t forgotten that one (and probably never will)
But, it really is a sign of respect..Westbrook has some of his best games against the Cowboys even when he is knicked up. So, if we can get a rookie in his stead we are glad to take it.
Wade Phillips has never won a playoff game as a head coach..he has lost 4 home playoff games.
His longest tenure as head coach was 3 years.
Only once did his record as a HC improve from one year to the next (by 1 game)

it's absolutely nothing like that
Westbrook is already injured, has been for a while, he was just saying he’s glad Reid is holding him out another week for precautionary reasons.
Definitely a sign of respect, Westbrook is a baller.

definitely not the same..
Was just agreeing that cheering for an injured player is pretty weak. :)
Even more so when the guy is getting his head strapped down to a cart!

I hate to see anyone injured but thats football
Eagles will need westy down the road so it probably is the right move for them…

I think Reid is being a smart HC.
He’s worried more about the player than the one game.Concussion are nothing to take lightly.

FYI It's LeSean, not LeShawn
Kinda like me spelling it Dumarkis Ware. And we definitely didn’t need Westy while issuing that ass-whooping the Giants received. Didn’t they beat you guys?

I wish Westbrook were playing...
I don’t want you guys to have any excuses when we light you up.
I have noticed a new resurgence in Cowboy hating in 2007, which can only mean one thing- We're back.

haha
you won’t hear excuses. Honestly, you guys are a semi-decent team and Westbrook potentially missing this game is the least of my worries. I am mostly worried about how our o-line matches up with your D, and how well McNabb plays. He is too inconsistent for me not to worry…. but tell me honestly… do you guys really think that Romo/Austin will have another game like the past three? A fairy tale has to end at some point.

Its no fairy tale
Austin is the real deal..Great hands and speed and a very strong lower body which helps him break all those tackles…Obviously he is not going to have great games on a weekly basis but this kid is going to be special for many years to come

he looks great against subpar defenses.
we’ll see how he does in philly. lets hope he doesn’t get the classic “4th game jitters” at the linc that has plagued so many receivers
