I am lurking on the BGN blog and their fans have such funny expectations. I know you want your team to do well but posting comments saying stuff like “DEFENSE NEEDS TO PICK SIX” or “60 yard touchdown now, please” I feel is kind of ridiculous

Who cares?

Coach Winters: Mississippi State's offensive set. 2nd & 2 on our own 24, what defensive set might we call?
Alvin Mack: Eagle Zipper Hero, unless the setback shifts into the I.
Coach Winters: Good..[clicks to next slide], third and seven?
Alvin Mack: Oakie Thunder Lion. {What's your assignment?}
Alvin Mack: Kill the quarterback. {{Coach Winters clicks to next slide}}

10 pts in the first half against the #8 total defense, I think that everything is going well. Just need another couple TDs and this thing should be put away. This isn’t like the first cowboys/eagles game from last year

Normally i would say your crazy,

but he doesn’t seem to be hitting the hole on kick returns very hard. Maybe there are no holes. I don’t know. Whatever it is, i will take the fact that we are leading 10-6 at the half against a really really really good team at there house and we have not run the ball for snot. We need to line up and run some toss plays to get them out of that gut blitz.

im so friggin tired of hearing about how ANNIE REID has dominated the Cowboys

over the past decade. But don’t other teams get pissed when we bring up the past. The past is the past, and right now the Eagles are LOSING. So lets talk about the past shall we. Whats that Eagle nation?? you don’t want to do that??? Ok, we won’t say anything about having a huge head to head lead over you guys in our 100 games or the fact that you’ve never won a super bowl and we have played for 7 and won 5. put that in pipe and smoke it NBC.

by TARHEEL PAUL on Nov 8, 2009 9:07 PM CST reply actions

It just annoys me that they never mention the fact that when Philly was on it's huge roll against Dallas, they simply had far better talent.

It’s been much closer since Parcells got here and the sides evened up, but that doesn’t make much of a story.

1st Half impressions

Defense is solid, good rush, good hitting – needs to make first tackle
Offense out of synch – needs more consistent running and better protection of Romo
Romo is a little off -he’s hitting 1 out of 3 with good passes..
No Turnovers, right?
Penalties still high, but ref’s are calling crap

by Cal in DC on Nov 8, 2009 9:08 PM CST reply actions

yep.

We’re playing well right now – not great for sure, but well. Aside from stupid plays like those i can’t complain, but we could execute better offensively. Dropped balls and a couple bad throws have hurt us.

by foyesboys on Nov 8, 2009 9:12 PM CST up reply actions

that was a terrible offensive playcall

two downfield routes the way we’re rushing them?

by foyesboys on Nov 8, 2009 9:08 PM CST reply actions

If we double desean and we are

We are gonna be soft in the middle. But when they get to our 30 the field shortens and we don’t have to double holding them to FG.

KICK ASS every day!!!

Play Selection So Far

25 passes (including three sacks)
9 rushes

Jason, calm down and run the ball more.

by kindablue on Nov 8, 2009 9:09 PM CST reply actions

to be fair

the eagles are absolutly shutting down our normal run game. ALl yards have come out of the wildcat.

by foyesboys on Nov 8, 2009 9:10 PM CST up reply actions

I would normally agree, but...

our run game looks pretty bad tonight aside from a couple good wildcat runs

by Spaceball on Nov 8, 2009 9:11 PM CST up reply actions

a couple of those passes are screens, which against a pressure defense like this kind of simulates a run.

Who cares?

by Zak on Nov 8, 2009 9:11 PM CST up reply actions

Garrett has passed out a lot of power sets tonight

I hope the plan is to stuff it down their throat in the 2nd half. Show me lots of 12 and 22 packages and just whip ’em

Neither QB is hot. It's pretty even to this point. Tha penalty on McBriar's kick really hurt.

I’m counting on our kicking game to win this one, that penalty hurt that predition, but we can still win. Akers is money.
