What to do in the Dallas Area

I just landed in Dallas, for the game on Sunday, and boy am I excited!  In order to to help bring down my anticipation I needed your guys help. I wanted to know of some fun stuff to do while I was here.  Any cool bars, things to do during the day, and restaraunts.  Any information would help me out a ton. I am going to be in town till monday so let me know if you could.

Thank You Guys,

Hey

I would say just roll on down to Harry Hines and take a little stroll down there… You might meet some interesting people. Just make sure you carry a roll of cash!!
Have fun in Big D!

LOL

Don’t do that Dude….Stay away from Harry Hines!!!! You won’t like what you see (or maybe you will?).

I believe The West End in downtown still has plenty of cool bars and restaurants all together in walking distance. It’s been a while since I’ve been there but it’s worth a look.

Have fun…and again stay away from Harry Hines-unless you are into that sort of stuff. lol

Went there a couple of weeks ago, nice city. Depending on what you want to do, but be sure to go to the Northpark Center north of the city if you want to shop…beautiful. We also went to the TEXAS LAND AND CATTLE on Lemon st. for dinner on Saturday night nice ambiance and excellent food (there’s also one near the stadium by the way).

Be sure to visit the stadium with the tour on Saturday…

I'm a bit of a history buff, so I did the JFK assassination tour thing.

Interesting and chilling all at the same time.

Had a pretty good burger at a place called Twisted Root. It’s an active atmosphere, but only has lunch hours…I think.

I saw a dog today. Have you seen a dog? You probably have. How was school? Was it fun? Did you get a lot of homework? Huh? Do you have any friends? Do you have a best friend? Does he have a big coat, too?

Yeah that's interesting

Of course, it’s a little weird seeing the “X” on the street that marks the exact spot JFK was shot.

2009 New York Jets: not 11-5 :(

I watched a documentary a couple of weeks ago on it.

The book depository/museum curator said that the “X” was actually a few feet off. Forgot the reasoning for it, though.

First of all take a tour of the stadium

if you haven’t already done so, well worth the waiting in line for an hour.

When I went to the Thanksgiving game, we went to the Gaylord Texan the night before the game, thats the hotel the players stay at, and also went to the Glass Cactus which is club at the resort.

Very Nice place, highly recommend it.

If you head down to downtown Dallas, there is cool bar in the historic section called Gators.

Depends on what you want to do, where you're staying.

As far as food goes Addison has everything you could possibly want. Same with bars. There’s also some good restaurants in the Uptown Dallas area. Lots of museums in Dallas, you could go check out the Dallas World Aquarium too. There’s lots of good strip clubs in Dallas too, if you’re into that sort of thing. In Arlington there’s really not a whole lot of cool stuff to do, they have Holiday In The Park going on at Six Flags right now, and you could go tour the stadium if you want. There’s stuff to do in Fort Worth too, lots of bars/restaurants in downtown and the stockyards can be interesting. Really good Mexican food place in the stockyards (Joe T. Garcia’s), and some good BBQ/Steakhouses there. Really there’s a ton of stuff to do here, it really just depends on what you’re looking for.
