Who to root for, Iggles or Gents?

This is a tough one, I hate both equally.  Given the fact that The Boys are tied with Philly you'd naturally want to root for the Giants, but the Giants have the tie breaker advantage over Dallas so you'd want them to lose as well.  If the Eagles win that goes a long way towards eliminating the Giants, and their tie breaker over Dallas, and Dallas still get's a game  with Philly left on the schedule.  A Philly win means Dallas HAS TO win today, whereas a NY win means Dallas can afford a loss, except that there would then be a 3 way tie for the division, and as mentioned NY has the tie breaker.   So, all things considered, GO IGGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yep

I kicked this around all week. Gotta go Iggles. Either way we need to win these games regardless of the math. They must be tired of the December talk by now

It's turrble.

Granted, they play tonight, after this afternoon’s tilt is decided, so the Cowboys have to play not knowing the outcome of tonight’s contest.

But still… rooting for the Iggles? I’ll have to take a bath or something.

I'd rather just root for the Cowboys

we control our own destiny

Giants

allows us to win 1 game of next 3, an beat philly week 17 to make playoffs.

If you want to win the division, then probably the giants.

a tie is probably bad also.

eagles

giants loss almost eliminates them, especially important because they have tie breaker vs dallas. with eagles win, dallas needs to obviously beat them when they play them.

but making playoffs is more important than winning division. 1st things 1st. go eagles.

no it doesn't

the giants could very well be 3-0 their last 3 games, and we have NO.

right

point? we play new orleans regardless who wins. it’s better for dallas if the eagles win. why? for now we have tie breaker. we still play them and if we have the same record as them at the end of the season AND beat them again we go to playoffs. we wanna make sure dallas has a better record than the gmen #1 above everything.

EAGLES

At the end of the day, if we’re 1 game back from Philly we still control our own destiny for the division title since we play them still. If we’re tied with the Giants we’re dependent on them losing 1 more game than us the rest of the way.

Great Point

I hadnt thought about that… I appreciate the insight.

Eagles

we need to worry about a playoff spot, not the division. Of the pack, cowboys and giants, only two are getting in. The pack is probably going to handle their business. We probably aren’t. So we need as much room as we can over the giants.
