2009 New York Jets: not 11-5 :(
2009-2010 Dallas Mavericks: 57-25
Huge Drive
99 yards, but if we go on to win, it will seem like it was even longer.
Kudos to Garrett for keeping his composure and getting us back in the game.
Ware could use a sack
and so could Spencer.. Hoping for some blitzing.
Austin now has 10 TDs

Sproles is super scary with the ball in his hands
If I had a nickel for every Super Bowl the Eagles have won, I would have zero nickels.

That was a stud drive. Please, D! Do your jobs. And how about stopping them
a little sooner, so we don’t need 99-yard drives?

Hell yeah. The D needs to step up in this situation. No collapse after a score

Nantz said his head hit Chargers chest.
Rib injury?

December woes continue
i’m starting to think we’re jinxed!
Is anyone still talking crap about Rivers
because he seems somewhat effective today
I will continue to talk crap about how much of a dick he is
but he still is a good QB
If I had a nickel for every Super Bowl the Eagles have won, I would have zero nickels.
by Cowboyfan729 on Dec 13, 2009 5:41 PM CST up reply actions
Yay special teams!
Maybe we work best starting deep in our own territory.
Yet another instance of the defense giving up a TD
immediately after the offense scores…that is the exact opposite of clutch
true but...
there was such a long gap after the injury that any energy/momentum from the td was lost
The offense hardly ever give up TDs
Iw wonder why that is
if he wins a playoff game
this would not be an issue
he has lots of chances
Once again
1 player doesn’t win and lose in the NFL. I wish people could understand this. He can’t cover people on 3rd and long or stop the Ravens from getting back to back 75 yard TD runs
Romo
can hit targets in the 4th, not fumble snaps etc
He is the QB, he is the leader of the D, he needs to step up
He need to win in playoffs, win last game last year, win the last game against Phil this year, win the opening of stadium etc
He being the leader of the Dallas offense need to play well in December and January not just Sept to November
And this has not been done in the last since Romo caame
He's the leader of the D?? What??
QB’s either play well or they don’t play well. One or the other. You can guess which one contributes the most to winning. Right now Romo is playing well. He’s not the reason we’re losing.
You can do a lot of things in life. You can't stab a teammate with a pair of scissors. - Kevin Smith
How is Romo the leader of the D? and you forgot that he needs to cure cancer and bring peace to the middle east
Lifetime Cowboys Fan from the Swamps of Jersey
I don't want to but that was so damned stupid, and terry must be in the john or something
Lifetime Cowboys Fan from the Swamps of Jersey
Time to galvanize
and score. its on the offense now and then it’ll be on the D and we must respond.
"Aw Shucks" - Wade Phillips
Romo would be MVP
if he had to play against his own defense
hey it's less than 99 yards

Offensive playcalling leaves a lot to be desired today
I know you can’t playcall based on 2nd/15 very well, but why not try to get 10 yds of that back instead of going for 25?

We would have tied : If Nick Folk had not missed that field goal.
1 Play, that’s all it takes to make a difference. Hopefully we can take it out on the Saints and stay in this playoff race.
2 Games in a row
That Folk has Folked us, this one it would’ve at least gone to OT, last one took away any momentum we had

Also our defense has reverted
back to being retarded.

Not only did we lose to one of Parcells' potential replacements...
I think Jerry also interviewed Ron Rivera, who took over SD DC when they were struggling, and they’ve played reasonably well. I think Jerry didn’t take him seriously because he ran a 4-3 in Chicago (that defense has sucked since he left), but he’s run a 3-4 in SD. But he wasn’t enough of a yes man. Too bad.
I wonder if Jerry starts covert communications with
Shanahan or Cowher
I hope he does

so Jerry won't even contact them
Where did I suggest anything but one sided interest – spare me your retort

If you contact them you're screwed
Cowher already said he won’t even talk to anyone who still has a coach

Geezus don't ever mutter that guy's name
I just remember him constantly running on 3rd and 7-8 and punting…with Troy Freaking Aikman playing!
Boys will go 0-4 in December

thats true fanhood right there.
Its likely all we have to do is beat washington and the season will come down to philly.
I am a True fan
However,I don’t see us beating NO or Washington on the road

Jerry's going for quantity. Not quality. At least lately.
You can do a lot of things in life. You can't stab a teammate with a pair of scissors. - Kevin Smith
Looks like December wins again!!
December 2, Cowboys 0!!!
Gaints or eagle tonight?
Giants has easier schedule, should beat Wash and caro if not last week mine
Eagle lose and it will come down to Eagle boys
0-2 heading for 0-5 in December
I said before the season that this team isn’t making the playoffs…..They will get shredded next week…
Norv should of been hired over Wade to help with the quarterback play and the offensive coodinator and that Dom Capers should of been the defensive coordinator. Three wasted years and counting…..
that was the counter, but JJ shot it down, very interesting chess game
at the end the whole team sux
The media is just gonna rip Wade
how can the players respect him when he can’t even defend himself against the media?
I think Barry would come back
How bout dem Frogs!!!!
well the good news is... either the Giants or Eagles will also lose today
I know playoffs just got a lot more uphill and I’m definitely not at all confident we’ll get there, but I’m not giving up quite yet… 3 more games… very tough but the saints almost got beat by both the redskins and the falcons… the boys CAN beat them…
but losing Ware is worse than losing this game. I just hope he’s okay.
3 way tie
if Gmen win tonight. Ugh, hate rooting for those guys!
playoffs hardly changed unless you thought we had a serious chance of going 4-0
this game will likely be the difference between us being tied with philly week 17 and being down a game to philly week 17.
well, our cushion just got a lot thinner
I figured we’d win 2 or 3 of the 5, but that included winning at least 1 or 2 of the first 2…
we need another OLB who can rush the passer
even with Ware we need some help on third downs
having watched this team for years
I know that concept to be unpossible

Brandon Coutu, former Seahawks kicker
We tried him out in preseason. He’s got a good leg and didn’t miss a kick for us in 2 years of preseason work. Can’t get a touchback to save his life but that’s why you have Buehler. We picked Olindo Mare over him because Mare gets touchbacks and makes kicks.
I’d give him a try.
ME! BANE!
I don't think Romo was great
He’s lucky he wasn’t picked off at least 3-4 times this game. A lot of his passes seemed low. Otherwise he was good enough.
Garrett calling the same play 4 times at the 2 yard line is stupid from a neutral perspective.
Ware or no Ware (and I hope he’s okay) the defense got torn apart with clock-killing drives and if Wade is the man heading the defense then he’s got some work to do.
I still think Dallas can make the playoffs with a 9-7 record at a minimum.
ME! BANE!
I think it's more playcalling
How come they don’t take any deep shots? Even if it’s incomplete, just to keep the defense honest. When they don’t, defense just has to only cover about 20 yards past the line of scrimmage.
Was the downfield coverage so good?

same thing last week
sometimes you have to air it out

I know I'm kind of joking
But the playcalling was bewildering. That was perfect for play-action on that possession.
ME! BANE!
I thought Romo looked good with the exception of that one screamer that was going
to no one. Garrett’s playcalling on that 4-down series was baffling. The D? Raf’s article on the D’s December swoons is looking prophetic.
i agree romo wasn't great
but he wasn’t the reason we lost. Missed opportunities and a defense that got smashed the last 8 minutes are the reason we lost.
although romo deserves a little credit
our followup drive to the SD touchdown, he made a really bad decision.
ESPN showing Wade live
like watching a car wreck, just seeing if the midea gives him crap.
If we had won last week
then losing today would be somewhat bearable, but we dug a hole last week and it may now turn out to be our grave
New...
…coach…new OC…new left cb…new K…new lb to replace Bradie James. What a pathetic display of just about everything. I have never seen a team that allows a team to score a TD just a few plays after they do in every game.
in addition...
Every team in this league can get a big sack, INT or long TD pass EXCEPT the Dallas Cowboys. This team needs some major changes. And we expect them to go to the Super Bowl…what a crock! Bring on Mike Shanahan…and let him pick his own coaches and assistants.
The coaching on both sides of the ball is weak

Thank you ESPN
for getting rid of John Saunders on their post game show. He was terrible.
lets face the facts.....this team is going NOWHERE
No offensive explosions…the defense is breaking down….being outcoached and outplayed EVERY GAME. what else needs to be said?
I think we can be a top 3 or 4 team in the nfc
just by making plays when they’re right in front of us. Making field goals. WR catching balls that are in their hands (Roy in GB game). Scoring on very short yardage. Not turning the ball over when you shouldn’t (Barber).
We do this, and I think wed be 11-2 right now.
While this team is incredible frustrating, and seems to find incredible ways to blow these games, they aren’t that far from an elite team. Beat Philly and washington to get to the playoffs, get hot, maybe have a first round home game against GB and go from there.
This team doesn’t look like its capable of beating NO or Arizona to me though.
