Jimmy Johnson

I know this is going to be taken as a "jump off the cliff" post and as this is my first post in some time let me explain.

Wade Phillips, no matter how many posters defend him, just is not a catalyst in any sense for this team. It was utter foolishness for Jerry to think that he could "change" as we were led to believe after last season. Our team has a lack of discipline and we, as fans, see it time and time again. How many 3rd and 10's or more have we given up the last two weeks? And of course it goes without saying that the penalties are unbearable.

This team, our team, has all the talent in the world. Sure, we can sit here and pine for a better left tackle and maybe a playmaking safety, but there are teams in the NFL who are playing much better with inferior talent.

With all that being said, I want Jimmy back. You can't tell me it doesn't bother him how he ended things with the Dolphins. I listen and see him on Fox, and it's obvious that passion is still there. Does anybody remember last year his reaction at halftime after a key Kevin Burnett personal foul? Plus, with Garrett (and I'm not saying that Garrett is great, but this makes sense logistically) as the offensive coordinator and Campo as the defensive coordinator, we have some pieces that he is familiar with.

And to the people who say that Jerry and Jimmy couldn't make it work..all I can is that time heals wounds and stranger things have happened.

Would be nice.

But not happening. Jimmy is very comfortable in Florida, making his millions and fishing whenever. He still has passion for the Cowboys, but would convince himself the bs isn’t worth it.

Great post I wish Jimmy would come back

No matter how long he has been out he would be better than Wade.

by UTexan on Dec 13, 2009 8:39 PM CST reply actions

I'd give Jimmy 3 years

but
1) NO Garrett, and Jimmy wouldn’t put up w/his braindead playcalling anyways

2) It’s a salary-cap league-I don’t know how good he’d be. A long time out of the game too.

okay, seriously. i'm not even going to read this post. the guy has a screen name that is misspelled, and i have no intention of entertaining his bs, even if i am drunk.

right now i hate the cowboys, and i friggin hate cowboys fans who can’t spell anything outside of their relatives’ names. this post is a joke, and everything cowboys related is a joke. they’re delusional about their past, and as a result, they’re delusional about their future. i see no reason why anyone should follow them unless they are related to a player on the team.

enough with the “what if” posts, and the “i have the answer” posts. if anyone worth a damn had the answers, then they would be the offense or defensive coordinator; everyone knows that. this team is bad, and none of our “answers” are going to change that so deal with it, and move on.

Cause I cut the brakes! Wildcard bitches! Yeeehaaawww! *jumps out of van*

I love her.

I saw a dog today. Have you seen a dog? You probably have. How was school? Was it fun? Did you get a lot of homework? Huh? Do you have any friends? Do you have a best friend? Does he have a big coat, too?

So did I until
this team is bad, and none of our "answers" are going to change that so deal with it, and move on.

The Knights season may have just ended, but the Cowboys year is just begining!

Spelling, punctuation, and other fun facts

I went to the Cowboys/Giants game last weekend and there was a guy in my section wearing an Owens jersey talking non-stop trash. Sounds like he posts on here!!

Honestly I know my idea is far fetched and I’m not even saying that my solution is the answer. What I am saying is that Jimmy gives us a far better chance then Phillips does, and if he were to come back, especially from a draft perspective, I’d be real excited.

He would def bring leadership. But I think another reason he was so good was he was drafting the players he tried to recruit while he was in Miami. He knew the drafts as well as anybody that’s part of the reason he built the dynasty. I think him being out ten years would really hurt him and he wouldn’t have the edge on draftday he had back then

Rega

But, he hasn’t been out. He actually has a better vantage point now than when he was a coach. His job now is to study players, study teams and study up and coming teams.
He is not having to worry about getting a team ready to play.
I am not saying he would work or that he is any better off, I am just trying to say that he has a better vantage point now.

Ya maybe. Jerry jones still has to much pride we will get a coach he can manipulate. Another version of Wade. I’d like to see Wade stay and coach our D. But Garret get the shoe in his ass on his way out.

I would do anything to get Jimmy back here.

It’s not going to happen though.

Jimmy Johnson for GM.

Redskin fans...

said the same thing about Joe Gibbs. Jimmy Johnson’s style wouldn’t cut it now. What the Cowboys should have done was signed Dom Capers or Greg Williams when they became available instead of sticking with Wade’s boy Brian Stewart, as I noted back then.
