Where is the BLITZ?

For the life of me I cant understand

Star-divide

why Doppy doesnt call more blitz's when a potent passing team is facing 3rd and long? Instead he just rushes four and we all know thats whats coming, I'm sure as hell San Diego knew too. Rivers shreded the defense on 3rd and long all game because wade allowed him time in the pocket. The most bizzare of which was right after Ware leaves the game. Tied up 10-10 with SD facing 3rd and 12. You are without your best pash rusher whos going to get double teamed and possibly free up another defender. So whats the call, 4 man rush! You've got to be kidding me. Dallas cant hardly get pressure with 4 guys when wares out there yet alone when hes off the field. Bring the house or at least 5-6 guys and make Rivers throw short of 12 yards.

His situational defensive play calling drives me nuts. Jason Garrett looks like Vince Lombardi compared to Wade IMHO. Am I the only one whos upset about the lack of blitzing?

everything we try on 3rd and long fails

we’ve tried to blitz heavily this year and have gotten burned.

An equally good question is why the F do all our blitzes end up geting swallowed up at the line of scrimmage or behind the qb? Why are we struggling so much.

our blitzes get stoned

because we telegraph them. we line up showing our blitz and it allows the OL to call everyone out they are going to block. Like that blitz where they send Ware up the middle. Instead of lining up at his normal spot, they line him up over the A game, the OL knows it’s coming and calls it out..

I hope ya'll do that to Brees

this saturday night. That will hurt bad. Anyway, just wanted to welcome ya’ll to our house. Should be a whale of a game and will look forward to continuing ya’lls December funk. GEAUX SAINTS

Bree is a classic out of the pocket QB

i think our front 7 will get to him a bit in this game. we need to play man to man on the outside, im tired of seeing the CB get burn because they dont know where the safety help is coming from. what ever happens to KEEP EVERYTHING IN FRONT OF YOU?

uhh....

keep everything in front of you is how we get burned for 10 yard receptions at a time.

We don’t have the athletic ability (aside from jenkins) to keep guys in front of us and still make plays on thebal.

ever see a team blitz

but keep their CB’s 10 yards off the wr allowing for an easy completion for the 1st down? me neither….until we started doing it.

we are a passive team

on offense our philosophy is “take what the other team gives us” rather than dictating to them like the best offenses do

on defense it’s “keep everything in front of you and WAIT for them to make a mistake”
