Signature Win of Phillips Era
Three years of Wade Phillips... and lots of suffering.
The Dalai Lama suggests that people who accept suffering as a natural fact of human existance rather than feeling that the problem is unfair are in better position to deal with these difficult situations.
Fortunately, the beleaguered Wade Phillips and his defense behind Spencer and Ware staved off the critics for another week. Romo continues to mature, while Garrett shows why he is the next Sean Payton coach of the Cowboys. Only 15 days until Wade Phillips wins a division... or is fired.

Correction.
The 2008 Giants were also one-and-done in the playoffs with a #1 seed.
The rest? No, not commenting.
I still believe in Romo.
The same with Jeff Fisher last year.
I’m sure Tony Dungy lost the first game having the Colts as the #1 seed.

Disagree
Inconsistency is not one of this team’s problems. They should not be expected to play lights out week in week out, which is why teams shouldnt go undefeated in the NFL.
However a better offensive line would solve many problem.
labone,
I think we see inconsistency from several areas of this team. The push rush; sometimes they seem to be relentless and other times merely average. Terrence Newman is a guy who will play a shut down type game one week and a third down weak spot another.
Totally agree with you on the Oline. I think our offensive struggles is primarily a cause of their inconsistent play.
part of the inconsistency is that
a different OLman underperforms every week. We know someone will have an off game, but can’t predict who.

we are consistent
in our knack to always play inconsistent football.

Seriously?
I mean, really.
This kind of sommentary just leaves me apoplectic.
What parallel universe version of the Cowboys do you watch?
Jeez.

mahuebel wonders who Tex blamed
when parcells was the head coach and we had the same “december swoon” going on? Mahuebel peers into the dusky evening, wondering how Tex justified a losing playoff record since before the best quarterback to never win a playoff game took over for us.
It’s one thing mahuebel will never know; and now that he thinks about it… he doesn’t much care.
Ty sees what you did there...
And Ty likes. Yes Ty likes very much as he glances into the cold ass night nowhere near Cali, but also not as asinine and delusional as Montecito must be right now.

or how about we kick some saint ass tonight and kick ass all the way to another Superbowl! I’m starting to think the cowboys don’t win any big games because their fans don’t deserve to be fans of a winning team. The cowboys always fold and don’t play with any heart. Dware goes down on a stretcher last week and the defense doesn’t get inspired to be pumped up and play with everything they have? The fans have the same attitude. As soon as there is one negative play watch the open game thread, we may as well throw in the towel. Same as the topic of this thread. quitters, is that the players or the fans? BE POSITIVE FOR ONCE!
David LaFleur?
Really?
I hope you are a family member or perhaps college roommate of old David. Otherwise that is a bold choice for a handle.
You have inspired me to perhaps change mine to Ebenezer Ekuban or Ken-Yon Rambo.
