Continue to make them check down..
If I had a nickel for every Super Bowl the Eagles have won, I would have zero nickels.
Scandrick will be ok
Most of his beats have been very good throws and routes

Against Brees, it can happen
Basically, our offense needs to score 7 points again or this will get to be heart attack hotel

That was a quick TD
We are going to need one more score
that TD is on McBriar for kicking that touchback

Drew Brees is nasty
If he scores 14+ points here in the 4th, I’m going to bow down to the man.
Cowboys had better hope they can chew up the clock with MBIII
This is where our D has problems
Let downs in the 4th.. they shouldn’t be too tired, they’ve been off the field most the game!

YEAH GARRETT!
Let Romo win the game.. he’s been awesome
by torchindefenses on Dec 19, 2009 9:47 PM CST reply actions
that's okay.....you knew they were gonna score.....
we just have to get the offense going again and score
We need to keep playin the game we have been playin
I’m gonna be pissed if Garrett tries to slow it down any
Way to go Felix

good return by Felix.. looks like he’s almost back to his old self.

4th quarter, clock to eat up
Time for MBIII to shine?
We have to score right now period.
no excuses …..this could be a dagger….field goal but touchdown would be better…….just something to make it a 3 score lead.

anyone who misses easy 24 yarders should NOT be playing in the NFL, period.

Factual Statement
Take Dungy and Marshall Faulk and make them eat crow on live TV
Just watching NFL network gameday at least Michael tells it like it is.
Sure Marshall was a great back, with 1 ring, but Michael , in spite of all his off field issues,
was part of the heart and soul of several championship teams.
Marshall owes a lot to Curt Warner for his ring……….. Tony I respect for his character, but Manning , as shown this year, is equally responsible for his getting over the hump with a ring.
Great Game
Truly fun to watch, even more fun we were able to win. Hopefully this will give us confidence to turn the corner.

Great Balance
Defense played incredible. To hold this team at home to just 17 points is quite a feat.
Good balance on offense, too. 145 rushing yards on 36 attempts. Romo 22/34, 312 yards, no turnovers. Romo is playing as good now as he has his entire career.
two three and outs to start were key

this is the pros
you don’t cut to punish players, you’d do it to replace them with someone better.
Who is better? Who is to say that a Pro Bowl kicks is only a rested muscle away from returning to form? And you cut him,a nd he goes to the skins, or you cut him and sign someone expensive with zero upside? I mean there are a ton more variables to address than a fan’s emotions.

I’m just glad the Saints made somewhat of a game out of it. It was a hard game for me to watch. but I think all Saints fans were secretly waiting for this day, when both sides of the ball played bad. Not to take anything way from the Cowboys. They played a great game and got plenty of pressure on Brees. Good luck with the rest of the season.
Cheers to you
It was a fun game.
I hope we get a chance to do it again in the playoffs!
Romo's done what EManning did a couple of years ago, taken that next step.

And Peyton Manning and the Colts sure don’t seem to be missing him do they.
Seriously, I think I could be the Head Coach on a team and with Manning at QB we’d make the Playoffs.
Coaching is more than just Xs and Os
People management is very underrated. You have some that are superb at both, like Phil Jackson. But if you have a QB like Manning, you just have to keep that engine running smoothly.

Phillips had a good game
and as you said, made some smart plays. And everyone knows this team needs some more of those type of players. But let’s not go overboard and throw out a perfectly good second year, 22 year old, #2 TE like Bennett.
Having three good TE is a necessity in our offense.
A necessity how?
Also, I’m not kicking Bennett off the team, but if I’m the GM, and someone offers me a 2nd, I’m taking it.
Upgrade to a BTB Platinum Account to view this signature.
by accidental innuendo on Dec 19, 2009 11:18 PM CST up reply actions
Well our offense seems to run two TE sets around 50% of the time.
So the second TE is virtually a starter for us and the third TE will be moved into the starting lineup if either of them goes down (hence Phillips playing more today for Bennett). If your going to run a two TE offense successfully I think having a good trio is a necessity.
Plus they’re both cheap. Keep them and we’ve got the best trio of TE’s in the league no doubt. Trade away Bennett and one injury puts our whole 2 TE offense out the window.
Fair enough
But I’d rather have a better FB than a third TE. Not that Deon isn’t adequate, but I think it would improve the running game.

Yeah,
I’d really like the second coming of Moose Johnston but there just doesn’t seem to be many great blocking plus great receiving fullbacks around anymore.
Oh well, as a consolation I’m happy to have really good #2 and #3 TE’s who are young, cheap and here for at least the next three years.
I'm not saying ditch him
but he needs to get on the trolley. His progress has been dismal.

No doubt he's stalled some
But he’s still really young both football wise (2nd year) and life wise (22). He made some great lays his rookie year and he’s made some good play this year too. He just needs a bit more work I think.
