Playoff situ
Cowboys amazingly still have a shot for a bye. Win out, Vikings lose out (@CHI, NYG), Packers (SEA, @ARI) and Cardinals (STL, GB) both lose one.
If the Cowboys win out, they win the division.
If they don't win out but still make the playoffs it will likely be for the sixth seed, due to their head-to-head loss against the Packers.
Even if the Giants lose tonight versus the Redskins, they are not eliminated due to their season sweep of the Boys.
Basically, as long as the Cowboys take care of their business, we'll be fine.

can you tell me
who would have the 3 seed if the cowboys win out and so does arizona? They would both have the same record. I think it comes down to winning percentage of the opponets each team has beat.

Arizona would
The 2009 Dallas Cowboys: Talk to me in December.
The NFC East has won 11 Super Bowls; oddly none of those have come courtesy of the Eagles.
Yep Cards would
better winning percentage in common games.
They Cowboys lose pretty much every tiebreaker against the Cards, Packers and Giants.

damn
I would just like them to avoid the eagles in the playoffs so the 4 seed(are they to win the division) might actually match them up with gb.

Actually
The Packers don’t have to lose one. We need Packers to beat Arizona so we can get the No. 2 seed.
You can have some fun with situations like this here: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/playoffscenario?algorithm=yahooranker
"We have to find a way to play better, there's no doubt. Overall. I'm not pointing fingers at anybody. Offense, defense, pitching -- we have to find a way to play better. The reality of this is, coming here to Pittsburgh and being swept -- personally, I feel embarrassed." -- Carlos Beltran
But if the Pac win their next 2
then they finish ahead of us in the standings.
So I had to establish the rules and regulations of the game...85!

they would have to win their division to get the bye
and they can’t over the Vikings since Lord Favre already took care of business against the Pack this year. Twice. So if we win out, and Vikings lose out, and Cards lose one, we get the bye.
