Big game for the Cowboys in terms of the playoffs. The Giants battle the Redskins in a NFC East duel. As hard as it is to say...go team from the nation's capital that wears burgundy and gold. Bleech!

I hope in the next draft Skins will not draft Suh on DT, because I dont want to see Big AL + Suh + Orakpo in one team….They must draft QB…..

seems to me like

most of the Giants “blocking” are holds that dallas would get called for

by mahuebel on Dec 21, 2009 7:48 PM CST reply actions

i saw one blatant hold that deon anderson had in the saints game

but that was the only one I saw by the boys in that whole game that wasnt called.

I saw no less than 3 blatant holds on that one giants drive alone, none of which were called… reminiscent of the last time we played them

by mahuebel on Dec 21, 2009 7:54 PM CST up reply actions

I almost want the Giants to win

I know, we need to make sure they are out of the running. But I would much rather face a completely deflated Redskins team next week than a team with confidence playing with heart.

by TroyHambrick on Dec 21, 2009 7:53 PM CST reply actions

Troy,

I don’;t think it matters much who wins tonight. For Dallas to reach their goal, which is ultimately the Super Bowl, I think that they need to head into the playoffs with a head of steam. I want Dallas to win out .. and not rely on other teams to get in. They’ve played 14 games to get into the position of controling their own destiny.

Just win baby!! Just win!!

by spadesking131313 on Dec 21, 2009 7:58 PM CST up reply actions

primary objective

…for Dallas is to get finally play off win…

by orli on Dec 21, 2009 8:03 PM CST up reply actions

True

definitely true. I think winning out will be made easier if we face a deflated Deadskins team.

by TroyHambrick on Dec 21, 2009 8:41 PM CST up reply actions

I am genuinely torn, I want to see the gints lose, but I hate the skins just as much.

I would rather both of these teams play sloppy dumb football and the less inept team wins. I would love to see the giants go up only to give up the game on a JC comeback; that should be pretty deflating.

Man I just got back from the hogs haven open game thread, they have already reserved themselves to their fate.

The giants have landed a head shot to the zombie skins that have been shambling around this season since around week 3. Only able to occasionally chase down the feeble team that could not crawl away fast enough.

THANK YOU CAROLINA!!

By beating the Vikings, you may have helped the Cowboys immensely!

If the Boys & Eagles win next week, the Eagles would stay within a game of the Vikings. If the Eagles & Vikings are tied at the end of the season the Eagles win the tiebreaker, thus giving the Eagles the #2 seed & the Vikings would have to play the wild card game.

Perfect scenario is Cowboys-Eagles game in week 17 gets moved to Sunday night, meaning the Vikings will need to play the starters that Sunday afternoon at home against the Giants.

I don’t see the Giants losing tonight or next week at home. In the scenario above the Vikings could clinch a playoff berth for the Boys before we have to take the field against the Eagles.

by Dave L on Dec 21, 2009 8:35 PM CST reply actions

Highly doubtful, but....

If we win out & the Vikings lose out, I believe we could sneak into the #2 seed ourselves.

Great for JJ Coaches evaluation next week

With the way the Giants are dismantling the Skins, a lot more will be expected of Wade and the coaching staff next week, than a close game like 7-6. A loss will probably be unacceptable by JJ.

Few teams can bounce back after a game like this. Even fewer when you know you aren’t in the playoffs anyway. Fewer still when you know your coach is likely gone next season. And still fewer if you don’t even know if you will be on the roster.

Granted, it is Dallas Week in DC, so everything I just said might be a load of bull.

I turned it off at 7-0. I watched three episodes of that LV pawnshop show. Did I miss anything.

Apparently not. I hope the Skins don’t play like a wounded grizzly bear next week. They must be completely demoralized. A good thing I think, as far as our chances go. Zorn’s eyes, what little I saw duing the lowlites, looked like two piss holes in the snow. I remember liking Zorn in his playing days, and was disappointed when he left Dallas for Sealttle. I don’t really remember what the circumstances were when he left. I hope he does well elsewhere. I don’t wish the skins any luck at all.
