BTB's Fantasy Football Update
This is it! The final week is here for the BTB and BTB Part Deux fantasy leagues on FleaFlicker. Bragging rights are at stake here, as are the virtual crowns the winners will take with them into the offseason.
If you want to discuss some fantasy football, make the jump. Of course, all talk Dallas Cowboys is welcomed, too!
In the BTB league final matchup, the Cowboys look to play a significant role. Quincyyyyy will depend on the Tony Romo to Miles Austin connection for the championship. He will also be hoping for a Dallas shutout as he looks to be starting the 'Boys defense against the 'Skins.
His wildcard player could be Cleveland RB Jerome Harrison, who ran for an incredible 286 yards and 3 TDs last week @ KC. Playing at home vs. OAK also looks to be a favorable matchup for the speedy, little back.
Doomsday Redux features the high-scoring arm of Aaron Rodgers and the consensus #1 fantasy back in Adrian Peterson. If Romo throws TDs, he will be hoping they go to his TE Jason Witten, who has only on score on the year. Could this be the week he breaks that streak?
Doomsday's wildcard player this week could be Saints' WR Robert Meachem - a threat to score from anywhere on the field who is facing a favorable matchup in the Bucs.
Here is the BTB playoffs ladder:

In the BTB Part Deux league, it's kill everbody vs. StarBoys for the championship.
Much like Doomsday in the BTB league, kill everbody will be banking on Aaron Rodgers and Adrian Peterson to have their usual big fantasy days.
His wildcard player could be Braylon Edwards, who put up close to 20 points last week against the Falcons. This week, he faces the Colts' secondary.
StarBoys will be rolling with two of this season's fantasy stars: Maurice Jones-Drew and Vernon Davis. MJD will be facing the NE defense, while Davis could have a big game against Detroit.
His wildcard player looks to be Saints' RB Pierre Thomas, who was bottled up last week against Dallas; but, he has a much more favorable matchup this week vs. the Bucs.
Here's the BTB Part Deux championship ladder:

In the world of fantasy football, this will be a fun, yet stressful Sunday and Monday for team owners in the playoffs. If you lost last week, remember that you could still be fighting for a #3 spot in most leagues.
Good luck to all; and remember, for all things fantasy, visit SB's fantasy website at sbnation.com/fantasy.
As always, go Cowboys!

REPOSTING
from the BTB Part Deux message board:
I extend my thanks to both Scott and Aaron. Scott for picking up the slack and Aaron for setting it up in the first place. I’m gonna reach out to Aaron to see if we can expand FFL coverage on BTB beyond just a Saturday thread, I’d be more than willing to contribute a draft strategy and start em sit em rankings if folks think I’m worthy of that responsibility.
KDP ‘Kill Everybody’
Coach Winters: Mississippi State's offensive set. 2nd & 2 on our own 24, what defensive set might we call?
Alvin Mack: Eagle Zipper Hero, unless the setback shifts into the I.
Coach Winters: Good..[clicks to next slide], third and seven?
Alvin Mack: Oakie Thunder Lion. {What's your assignment?}
Alvin Mack: Kill the quarterback. {{Coach Winters clicks to next slide}}
Alvin Mack: Hit the tight end so hard his girlfriend dies. {{Coach Winters clicks to next slide}}
Alvin Mack: Kill everybody.
Thanks for the thanks, KDP and nice season!
SBN has a fantasy website, but it’s not exclusively football. It’s faketeams.com.
I’m glad we had such a good turnout this year. Prior to this season, I didn’t realize that so many BTBers are fantasy football junkies. Once you start, you can’t stop!
I saw a dog today. Have you seen a dog? You probably have. How was school? Was it fun? Did you get a lot of homework? Huh? Do you have any friends? Do you have a best friend? Does he have a big coat, too?

Favre's arm is done
Minnesota goes as far as Peterson takes them now. I doubt you’ll see anymore of those Favre bombs that were being lauded by ESPN during the warmer months.

Schaub
Ricky and S. Jackson
Rice, Wayne, and Austin
Davis

Ha! Somehow, I'm in the console finals too!
I benched Cutler weeks back and it’s brought back a little pride.

Just by the way
San Diego is playing unbelievably well. This is probably their best shot to win the Superbowl before they’re forced to re-up contracts. At least, they represent the AFC this year.

they seem pretty similar to the colts this year
Great passing games for both teams but two of the 3 worst running games in the league (not counting yesterday’s game). I’d take my odds with Manning.

I'd have to agree.
SD has it.

You guys should be rooting for me to win, because if I do then the Cowboys will win as well.
Can't disagree with that logic

Hmmmm....
4 pts per passing TD and 6 pts per recieving TD…. Lets crank up the Tony+Jason machine and let ’er rip!!!
I do have a feeling I’m gonna be needing those 24.1 pts that Sproles put up… why did I bench him in favor of LJ ripping the Chiefs????
Welcome back my friends, to the show that never ends. We're so glad you could attend, step inside, step inside... Come inside, the show's about to start. Guaranteed to blow your head apart...
Playing for 3rd in ESPN league.
Help me pick 2 RBs and 2WRs:
RBs
Forte
JCharles
Felix
McFadden
Forsett
WRs
Sidney Rice
Cribbs
H. Nicks
K. Britt
Housh
We get 1 pt. for every 25 return yards, so I’m contemplating Felix and Cribbs this week.
To go with J.Charles and Rice maybe?

I’m playing my younger brother. Half of me wants to whoop on him, but half of me doesn’t mind if he wins.

let's see
As far as the backs go, definitely not JCharles against Cinci’s Run D. I’d be skeptical with Forsett against a Packers team whose D just got 37 dropped on them, they’ll be angry. That leaves Forte, McFadden, and El Gato. McFadden has been pretty crappy this year, but Cleveland’s D makes people look pretty good. I’d say McFadden and a coin toss with the other two since Garrett seems to abandon the run at times.
For the recievers, gotta take Cribbs for sure, after that I’m not entirely certain. Housh has been sorry all year (so much for that guarentee of him and Hasslebeck being top 5’s in their respective positions). Britt’s game already happened which he was inactive for. Minny and NYG play Chicago and Carolina, who are (respectively) the #4 & 7 pass D’s, so pick your poison. If it were me, I’d say Cribbs and Rice.
Good luck!

Yeah, I'm going Rice for sure and will make a game-time decision probably on Cribbs vs. Nicks.
The crappy thing about Forte is his fumbles. In my league, they are -3 points so he’s been riding my bench ever since I picked up Charles.
Is the Cincy run D that badass? I’d hate to sit my most explosive player.

and that explosiveness may not mean much
Longest run against them this year is 24 yards
by robolundgren on Dec 26, 2009 7:05 PM CST up reply actions
Damn.
And, it’s in Cincy. I just don’t know if Forte vs. MINN is any better of a choice.
And, DMAC just sucks.
This wouldn’t be so stressful if Mora just benched Julius. Everybody knows Forsett is the better runner right now for that O.

As a fellow Forte owner...just stop
I know it hurts, but you have to let it go. Let…it…go. And exhale.
Charles will get a bunch of carries, and I think he’ll make them count. Cincy D has given up 150 rush yds in back-to-back weeks. I think Charles will be solid at least.
And I’d be on the same fence with you regarding Cribbs vs Nicks. I am no help there, except that it seems harder to repeat ST success. Meh.

LOL @ let...it...go
Forte was a killer to his owners

Yeah, and Forte was my keeper player.
What’s with Bears and rookie runners? Salaam, Neal Anderson, Benson, and now Forte…all slump in their sophomore years with them. Weird.

That Kurt Warner scoring revision almost cost me my game...did it get anybody here one way or the other?
Playing in the championship game of my 20 team league over on Fox.
May have caught a break last week when the league favorite got knocked out because he ran into the Browns special teams who scored 43 points all alone.
Drinking the Blue Kool-Aid since 1980. "Ohhhhhh yeeeaaaaahhhh!"
I saw that last night.
Guess they gave that TD pass just to Anquan as a backwards pitch. It looked forward to me at the time.

Haven't seen anything for one.
I know that, in the past, ESPN has done small leagues for the NFL playoffs. Don’t know whether Fleaflicker has that.
I think you pick players from playoff teams, and then if their teams get eliminated, your SOL.
