Witten is a Pro-Bowler

I've seen many pundits going on about how Brent Celek was snubbed in the Pro Bowl voting, and normally they compare his numbers this year to Wittens. He had more touchdown, yack yack yack. It irritates me that every one of these experts focus only on the pass-catching aspect of being a tight end.

Don't get me wrong...I understand. Tight ends make the Pro Bowl based on their receptions and what they do with them. But of all the pass-catching tight ends, Witten is by far the best and most willing blocker. Gonzalez isn't bad, but he's not in Witten's class. Gates, Clark and Celek don't even pretend to block. I haven't seen Vernon Davis enough to know what he does.

I'm glad Witten gets this credit, because he deserves it. He's easily the most well-rounded TE in the league, and Pro-Bowl voters got it right.
