Cowboys @ Giants Injury Update

DeMarcus Ware has been added to the injury report - again. Evidently, Ware has a small fracture in his wrist. From Todd Archer:

Ware was already on the weekly injury report with the foot injury but the wrist was added today. He is listed as probable. Ware had X-rays today that revealed the fracture. Ware will have to wear a small cast for protection.

The extra time between games has helped heal Jason Witten's sprained foot.

"I thought it was something that might be lingering, but it feels really good," Witten said. "Last week was tough with a short week. I felt good in the game and the trainers did a good job of getting me back quick. If it were a normal week there wouldn't be any question."

Both Ware and Witten practiced fully this week and will play on Sunday.

The only other surprise on the Cowboys' injury report is that Ken Hamlin (high ankle sprain) did not return to practice this week. Therefore, he will not play against the Giants. Obviously, Marc Colombo will still be out with his broken fibula.

Here is the list of the Cowboys' probables:

LB Victor Butler (knee), QB Tony Romo (back), S Gerald Sensabaugh (thumb), LB DeMarcus Ware (foot/wrist), TE Jason Witten (foot)

For the Giants, RB Ahmad Bradshaw (ankle/foot) had limited participation in practice today and is listed as questionable. The same goes for S Michael Johnson who is suffering from an injured groin.

Here is how their injury report shakes out:

OUT - RB D.J. Ware (concussion)

QUESTIONABLE - TE Travis Beckum (groin), RB Ahmad Bradshaw (ankle/foot), S Michael Johnson (groin)

PROBABLE - LB Michael Boley (back), WR Derek Hagan (hamstring), QB Eli Manning (foot)

This is the only thing I've found...it's speculative that it's from practice:
The Cowboys added Ware’s wrist injury to the report on Friday, although it wasn’t listed this week. So apparently, it’s something that popped up in practice.

I saw a dog today. Have you seen a dog? You probably have. How was school? Was it fun? Did you get a lot of homework? Huh? Do you have any friends? Do you have a best friend? Does he have a big coat, too?

It's a "chip" fracture

It’s small too

Aww man!

I don’t like this one bit :(

I heard Coughlin was demoting Osi to backup for the game too. But that seems to be more discipline oriented than any type of injury.

Aaron Ross is going to be playing safety for the Giants

they simply need help there. He’s a good athlete capable of making some plays but I expect him to give up some no brainers too.

That's a sumbitch

But D-Ware has shown he plays through ‘minor’ injuries like stress and hairline fractures.
Go Cowboys.

I have been back and forth on this one

All season long. Even recently (last few days), I thought we’d win this by 4 or 5.

I’m not sure now.

I just think the Giants are too hungry, and the Boys are due for another letdown — especially on the the road.

That’s it in a nutshell. I stick by my original prediction from October.

Giants win.

But please prove me wrong.

No problem, Cowboys 27, Giants 13. I'm driving 45 miles to see this game. The Cowboys will

reward me by winning, and making Jacobs cry in a post game locker room interview.

"Cry in a post game locker room interview"

That’s funny. Enjoy your trip and the whole experience, and go D!

There won't be a let down

The reason being is every reporter keeps reminded the ’Boys about the December breakdown. I would imagine after a long week of that crap, I would be ready to kickass on the field to shut them up!

Found a great article on Miles Austin

It’s kind of a mini-bio, and very interesting.

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, "where the heck is the ceiling?"

Thanks for that WhiteWolf

He was a great find and props to Sherman for seeing more in him and bringing it out.

Also noticed this:

Exit 157 off the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey takes you to Garfield… Austin found his way down the parkway to Exit 105 — to Monmouth University.

Don’t even have to read the by-line to know a Jersey guy wrote this article…

Yes

Smiles makes the future very bright. Franchise QB, Dynamic Run game, Best TE in the game, and a good #1 WR.

Now we can build around Miles.

More Ogletree please!

I sure would like to see Ogletree get some meaningful reps this game running some real routes. After rewatching the Arizona loss to the Titans last night I could not help but think Miles Austin has the size, speed and skills to be our Larry Fitzgerald. My next thought was Ogletree can be our Anquan Bolden. Call me crazy, but I would sure like to see this kid get a real shot at some playing time sooner rather than later. Season is almost over, if he can demostrat the skills we saw in preseason and the limited chances he has gotten so far, then I believe he could be the second best receiver on the team. Free the Ogletree!

Yeah, but what about RW's blocking.

He’s not much of a threat at WR, but man can he block. A 45 million dollar blocking WR is what every teams needs. : > )

RW2 is going to make some plays down the stretch.

He just does not seem to have the speed and/or quickness to be a legitimate number 1 receiver. He is what he is, an Alvin Harper type. It is not his fault Jerry Jones overpaid for him. I like Roy Williams a lot, he has taken a lot of heat but has remained classy. The bottom line is the Cowboys are going to need everyone contributing down this brutal December schedule. But I really feel confident about this team this year, because the are acting like a team and sticking together one for all and all for one. The defense is really playing well and getting better each week. Special teams are special finally and the offense is healthy this season (knock on wood). With this combination I think Dallas can beat any team on any given Sunday, including NO, Vikes or Colts, I just have a feeling this is going to be a great December stretch that is going to define this team. To quote a long gone unnamed malcontent………

I also like RW.

He played at UT and is from west Texas so I’m all for him. But really he is more like Mike Irvin in size and speed or lack of speed I should say. The big difference is Irvin made a living going across the middle and inside the numbers and he had very good hands. RW is more of a outside the numbers WR it seems. You’re right about Harper and RW in that respect with Harper having alot more speed. The broken ribs may have somthing to due with his problems on crossing routes, but the drops are more like TO.The hands are not so good. I hope he gets it together these last five games and helps the Boys get into the playoffs and maybe go deep into them.

A chip fracture

Isn’t as bad as say a regular fracture is… he’ll probably be taped up

Then again, i’d have to see the xrays and the wrist to evaluate it
