-Ari Gold
we needed that stop!!!
You'll never get in a traffic jam, while going the extra mile. -Roger staubach
good play carp!!!
nice job. That actualy mayve been because we got pressure too quick amd carp couldn’t rush the passer.
Good field position

wow.
awful. put choice in there or something, that was a stupid run by felix.
Still can't run.
Maybe we should bring choice in.
Scott
This could be dangerous for opponents going forward...if Romo gets in sync with Roy...
…especially with Miles and Witten already in sync…
whats with this run game today
runs for losses, fumbles
obv it isnt working
Texas Stadium has a hole in the roof so God can watch his favorite team play football.
wish they'd give choice a chance
they keep going to felix hoping he’ll break one long.
have we been in the razorback today?

Texas Stadium has a hole in the roof so God can watch his favorite team play football.
Time for Folk to go......
Bye Bye, Nick!!!!!!!
It was some kind of miscommunication. Choice was running one route, and Romo
was throwing to another.
Yeah, we won't know who's fault that was
You can do a lot of things in life. You can't stab a teammate with a pair of scissors. - Kevin Smith
Can we have...
more shots of the Giants bench trying to get the crowd up? I don’t think we’ve had quite enough…
What was that
Miscommunication I guess

He should’ve kicked the one from 57

Starting to??
You can do a lot of things in life. You can't stab a teammate with a pair of scissors. - Kevin Smith
If they lose this game, it’s gonna be on “Mr. Fix It” and HIS defense!! Can NOT blame this on the offense or Romo!!
This is a team effort. Romo missed some, it's jus that the Defense missed more.
"Help, it's hot and dark in here and someone is laughing." Taco Bell
This game is over, and perhaps the season.
What a gutless team!!!!! You watch the Saints pull it out, then you watch these jokers. Sad!!!! Jerry, you had Sean Payton, and ……. let him go!!!!
What's even sadder is,
Payton is doing it with a bunch of Cowboys castoffs!!!
good decision by eli
he saw the defender coming up and just threw it into the ground
lollll why was scandrick on an island there

Time for a new coach
This is just like last year, no excuse for this, none. Wade got soft again, the team got soft and let a wounded team hang around. We need to scrap it and start over, sorry but we all seen this act before

"I’m ready to go here, all right? It’s like R. Kelly at recess."
"You will come back stronger then ever. Like Lance Armstrong. But with two balls."
-Ari Gold
What happened to Scandrick?
He was our best DB last year
you know..
I live in the NY area, and I listen to people call up WFAN and bitch the hell out of the Giants D and the receivers for about a month straight, and guess what happens today.
Romo definitely a plus today
unfortunately he can’t kick, or play D…well maybe he can…
it's our fault....the guy already has 100 yds and scandrick is still the one covering him....
we can’t tell by now that aint working???
smith > nicks or hixon.
its not close

try newman out in the slot
as I recall, he’s a pretty good slot CB
i think we were in nickel and they put smith outside
newman covers slot in nickel. I believe. Jenkins has the other side of the field.

When a team just can't get it together,
It starts at the top. Unfortunately, Jerry Jones is Al Davis Jr., and you see where the Raiders have been lately.
Like the Cowboys,
They’ll beat a good team, then…….. No consistency.

It ain’t that bad. I remember the 1-15 season. Then again, the bad latter-half of the ’80s, was not as bad as this stretch that we have suffered through, since 1996. This stretch is horrible!!!!
if we can't beat the giants......who else on the schedule you think we'll beat

Yes. By all means.
I want Jerry Jones to march down to the field, rip off his headset, and lead him off the field by one ear.
Another point of interest...
Why is it that our Special Teams seem like they’re all on one side of the field? Giants make 2-3 guys miss and it’s off to the races?
they sell out to make a great stop
and a missed tackle or two is a wide open td

if the defense gets beaten this badly the rest of december
theres no reason for him to stay
This loss falls on Phillips
his team once again failed to show up for a big game. At least we are one game closer to him being fired.
Barber is the one I'm blaming for the current state of this game
until his fumble, we were in control. He gave the Giants hope
not really...

Yep.
While Jerry meddles, the Cowboys will keep teasing us. Just good enough to make us salivate, then it all comes crashing down in December. Go away, Jerry!!!! Hire a real GM and step aside, please!!!!!!
and ....
its 4th down
Texas Stadium has a hole in the roof so God can watch his favorite team play football.
Time for a new coach
Time to clean house, how can we beat the chargers and the saints? New york is not a playoff team, they are beat up and not playing well. To get you butt kicked in december is unacceptable, the defense was not ready to play, I don’t want to hear the “we’re still in first place stuff” this was the easiest game left. We might not win another game. Who left is better than the giants? Nobody.
by just4fun on Dec 6, 2009 6:10 PM CST via mobile reply actions
Washington is the easiest game, not this one.
I agree though. We need to fire Wade. He is an absolute joke of a coach.
Scott
Only hope we have..
is that SD and NO take their foot off the gas a bit. If we can’t step up and win two more games this month, there’s really nothing to get excited about this or next season.
I hate to say this,
but SD and NO very likely will turn this loss into a 3 game losing streak, and we’ll see what these guys are made of against Washington and Philly. Philly very likely knocks them out of the playoffs two years in a row. Very sad.
Game over

but this game is sobering. The D once again really struggled to shut down the giants.

it's not about 8-4; it's about the caliber of the teams we still face - they're a bit better than the giants
but the 8-4 is relevant
because we’re in a position where if we play well we’ll be in the playoffs. this december thing is a load of crap, we’re losing a division game on the road. it happens.

cowboys lose again in december, but...
hard to blame that on romo. i don’t like his last couple of throws, but the guy he went 36-49 for over 300 yards, 2 TDs, no INTs. it wasn’t his fault today.
hard to believe we had the early lead in this one.
true. he didn't turn the ball over. however, he's got to make that pass a few plays ago to Roy Williams.

Find a perfect QB. He was one of the few today who actually played well. Ain't his

Nope. No QB's make all the throws all game long and Romo was pretty dang good today. 74% completion

Raf hit it on da nose prior to this game. It's up to the D... and the D came up short.
The D allowing big plays, MB3’s fumble, Folk’s missed FGs, and the ST allowing Hixon’s punt return TD were more the reason for this loss — not Romo’s play.

the majority of the reason we're losing to the giants
is that our dbs are incapable of covering their wrs. Thats the major difference in the game.
if our dbs can cover them
we don’t chase EVERYONE across the field and jacobs doesn’t get his td.
How the hell did Romo brain cramp? He was playing his heart out, and because
he misses one pass, he’s at fault? Unreal.
Two dumb passes and a grounding call
all at critical times
by I_miss_Switzer on Dec 6, 2009 6:23 PM CST up reply actions
Name a QB that can make every throw.
They weren’t “dumb” passes they were just off. “Dumb” passes would be ones that he threw to the other team. He didn’t do any of that. The only reason we were in this game at all was because of Romo. And that grounding call was because his O-line was horrible once again.
It’s amazing that Romo could have such an overall good game against a division opponent in their own house and you take two throws of his and lump him in with all the bad things that happened today.
You can do a lot of things in life. You can't stab a teammate with a pair of scissors. - Kevin Smith
I said he played well
and made three costly errors in crunch time
The pass to Barber was dumb because Romo could have run for it and made a dumb pass
The won to Williams wasn’t dumb – just off by 6 yards
by I_miss_Switzer on Dec 6, 2009 6:35 PM CST up reply actions
I should have figured someone would find a way to put this on him. He missed
a pass. He also hit a whole bunch of crucial ones. Why was Barber hanging around short of the first down marker? Huh? He plants his sorry butt a few yards downfield, and it’s a first down. Romo was still putting them in a position to do something when he hit Austin for that TD pass. Know what? I’m not going to argue with a hater like you. This loss is on ST and D, not on Romo.
Putting it on him
I made a list

Show me where I said you put it on him solely. You blamed him. You blamed
others, but you blamed him, too. Does that clarify for you? As far as I’m concerned, he’s one of the few NOT responsible for this loss, and the fact that you even mentioned him as a reason for this is unreal. And when you become a moderator here, you get the right to tell me to leave. Until then, back off.

In all the things that went wrong today you took the most time to point out Romo. He shouldn’t be on the top ten list but you did it anyway. That’s bias. I pointed out everything he did well and now all you can do is try to twist out of it by sayin “I said he played well”. It’s what’s called a backhanded compliment. Dallas' Problems
For some time now, I’ve complained about the performance of the front 3 in our 3-4. Have you heard Spears or Igor’s name called today?
Go watch a Pats game and see how Ty Warren disrupts plays.
Watch a Steeler game and see if Aaron Smith gets nothing.
Pick any 3-4 in the NFL, their DE’s outplay ours all day long.
When you couple that with an undersized NT like Rat who CAN be single-teamed by a Jamaal Jackson or a Chris Snee, you get trouble.
The problem on offense is simple. This team has not proven they know how to throw the ball downfield.
Dallas has no over-the-top option and that’s why the idea of big plays doesn’t exist, unless it comes from YAC.
What is really troubling is that the better teams have learned that about us and focused on stopping the run while limiting YAC.
Finally, I must say that Special Teams play has fallen off of a cliff. It’s folk, it’s coverage, it’s everything. DeCamillis needs to turn that group around.

The problem is that our DE's can be single teamed.
The really good ones get more attention than that but ours don’t and that leaves O-lines to double Rat.

by aussie_cowboy on Dec 6, 2009 6:37 PM CST up reply actions
I disagree.
I think one of the reasons to play a 3-4, with larger than average DE’s, is that hopefully they can take on more double teams allowing their LB’s to make plays. Our De’s don’t do that. OT’s usually can man up on them allowing double teams on Ware and Rat.

he generally (minus the game this year) brings his A game against the giants.
No...look at the progression...sure, he isn't lights out every game, but he's been very patient.
What I like in his progress is his “maturity”…when was the last time he threw up a “no look” pass?
Man oh man

im not so sure
the ol has now struggled in 2 of the last 3 against the giants, and our dbs look incapable of coverin their wrs. Eli is a good qb who can get the ball to them consistantly.
STs made a HUGEEEE difference today though.
10-6
My prediction after 4 games…..that may be optomistic now. Wade is the coach because he lets Jerry tell him what to do. That is why Parcells left. He got tired of that SH++. As long as Jerry is the owner and thinks he knows what he is doing…..our team will be losers……and yes I do remember the SB’s of yesteryear. Jimmy put those teams together and Jerry ran him off when he wouldn’t give the big ego enough credit. Joke after joke . Quit going to the games, quit buying their jerseys.

Romo played great today.
He had little support from everyone, and consistently made tough throws into coverage.
You want your qb to execute and make plays. Leaders at the position do that. Aside from ONE SINGLE PLAY, he was awesome today.
And THAT is the money comment
No true visceral leadership.
That has to begin and end with the head coach.

It's December,
and Jerry Jones owns the team. It hasn’t been right since the team that Jimmy Johnson built, got old. It’s been downhill from there, and the common denominator is Jerry Jones. Jerry needs to hire a real GM, step aside, and we’ll see a change. Until that happens, the Cowboys will always just tease us.
Jerry is like the little boy in the candy store with lots of money, and he’ll never share, so……
nice analysis
just blame everything on jerry
He's the common denominator.
Until he steps aside, his meddling will always hamstring this team. Him forcing TO down the Tuna’s throat, eventually led to him leaving. It will be that way with any coach. Jimmy left a winning football team on the verge of 4 in a row, because of Jerry’s meddling. Jerry IS the problem.
STs/defense were the main culprit
Barber had a fumble that led directly to points. OL also was not great today.

That is what frustrates me the most
Players will make mistakes, no game will be perfectly executed.
However, if you don’t have someone to hold everyone else accountable and lead them to better performance through motivation and emotion, what can you hope for? The players have to play for themselves like they’ve said, they’re not playing for their head coach.
Thier just not a good team...

Romo for example played very well, and we lost by less than a TD to a playoff caliber team. That is not terrible. Not our best football, actually not really that good, but it wasn’t as bad as you make out.

Lost In the Carnage of the Disappointment
Is Romo’s play. The line didn’t help him much, but he played a very smart game, did not turn the ball over—critical in road division games—and found the open receiver. He played much higher than average. All is not lost yet, as long as your QB is playing exceptional.
Yeah, and you forgot that one bad throw DOES make everything else he did meaningless. LOL
You can do a lot of things in life. You can't stab a teammate with a pair of scissors. - Kevin Smith
I don't believe it.
There’s absolutely nothing different about this team. Sure, there are still 4 games left in the final stretch, but right now it looks like December still lives.
At least it wasn’t Romo’s fault.

If the Cowboys do continue to slide this December, they’re out of excuses. There are no locker room cancers. There is no overconfidence.
What would be left, BUT superstition?
Keep in mind that doesn’t mean I’m a superstitious person in general.
2009 Dallas Cowboys: 10-6
2009 New York Jets: not 11-5 :(
2009-2010 Dallas Mavericks: 57-25
Superstition
spreads like a cancer, and then people, fans, media dumbasses, and even the players themselves start to believe it and then it becomes a fact. When something besides executing a play is in your head, you might not have what it takes to win the freaking game. It’s perpetuated because “they” (READ-NOT OUR FRIENDS) want to make it go on and on and on and on, ALL TO OUR DETRIMENT.

this year
our december is very tough. We could go 1-4 in december and everyone will be like ooo they choked, yet we would be like 1-6 against winning teams, so that shows more that we just regressed to what we were – a slightly above average team who struggles to win against better teams.
I hope to god that doesn’t happen, but if it does, it says more to me about our talent than any crazy other reason.
The first game this
season we lost that Romo threw zero int’s
Players not stepping up today

Newman

realistically, 3 plays totally changed this game
The Jacobs catch and 70 yard run. He barely beat spencer and got around the corner. We had NOONE on that side fo the field. The only one that could stop him was sensi and he was already on the ground. I think we need to give the giants a lot of credit for this – a. their wrs required extra attention which allowed it to happen and b. jacobs is very fast.
The punt return td, where our guys lost containment was another. That was poor all around. Hurrendous tackling.
And finally, the folk missed field goal.
Honestly, these teams were even aside from these plays – it was more of a “whoever gets the ball last will win” game aside from these.
The barber fumble was very very painful too.
So basically…mental mistakes, a tough play on the jacobs run, and a fg kicker whose been suspect.
like 24
but i don’t like looking at it that way. The first game we HANDED them. The second game, they made plays and we didn’t.

If I had to blame this loss on anyone
it would be the Giants. They played harder.
Leonard Davis. Missed some game changing blocks.
And the refs. The Giants got away with mad holding.
that's what really upsets me...
we have road graders on the O-line but yet we can only run when there’s a fullback and 2 tight ends.
yea this game would've been closer
if the refs made good calls. But as I noted in the post above, they made the big plays and we did not.
Yeah, like I
said the #1 culprit was the Giants. They simply played better.
We need to draft for O line
they can’t run block for crap
