missed kick

Did anyone notice if Folk’s second miss really got tipped by NY like cowboys radio says?

by rashdogg on Dec 7, 2009 11:14 AM CST reply actions

it was the Hold...

Matt McBriar admitted that when turning the laces he moved the ball forward throwing Folks point of contact off.

Whether you think you can or you think you can't either way your right

by UnNessecsary Roughness on Dec 7, 2009 11:59 AM CST up reply actions

and here everyone is ragging on Folk and blaming him

when it’s McBriar’s fault! The hold is very important to a good kick, it’s almost the same as having a bad lie in golf, no different.

McBriar turned the ball the wrong way

thereby causing Folk to hook the ball. Kickers like the ball turned slightly out for that reason.

isn't

this like the 3rd or 4th time he’s took blame for a bad kick?

If it’s true, they need to find another holder.

The good the bad and the ugly.

The passing game and Romo looked good. The defense and pass coverage broke down badly at times. Special teams Folk and the tackling was ugly. Dallas is still in 1st place and can win the NFC East if they can win in December, but that is a big IF.

For what it's worth.

Dallas opens -3 in Vegas

that means it's an even game, the 3 points is for home field

and quite frankly I think we are as good as the Chargers, from top to bottom. Should be a great game

Home teams with their backs to the wall

seem to be winning. SD almost has the AFC West in the bag and Dallas has their back to the wall that’s for sure.

as I posted earlier

both SD and NO are way overdue to lose, it’s only a matter of time so it might as well be us that does the honors.

Yes, I hope NO is 13-0 when Dallas plays them.

But I sure wish it was going to be played at Jerry World.

In the event Adams is suspended...

What happens?

My guess is that you guys would have 2 options (and I’m not trying to stir anything up, I just want to know if I have it right)…

- You can move Doug Free from RT over to LT, and insert Pat McQuistan in at RT, which would give you…

LT – Doug Free
LG – Kyle Kosier
C – Andre Gurode
RG – Leonard Davis
RT – Pat McQuistan

OR…

- You can move RG Leonard Davis over to LT and fill in Montrae Holland or Cory Proctor at RG, which would make it…

LT – Leonard Davis
LG – Kyle Kosier
C – Andre Gurode
RG – Montrae Holland or Cory Proctor
RT – Doug Free

Do I have that right?

Maybe I'm a cup half full kind of guy but..............

Even with the big plays by the Giants, during the game, it just seemed like we were dominating the game. In all areas that 99% of the time are critical to an NFL team winning a game, we were dominating. It just seemed like the ball bounced the Giants way yesterday. From Eli avoiding a sack and Kevin Boss just happened to be standing right there to bail him out. Then the very next play when Bradshaw was caught in the back field for a loss he somehow turned it into 16 yards. All the way to Hixon actually breaking 4 tackles to return a punt for the Giants for the 1st time since 2004. Not to mention the fact that our punt team hadn’t allowed a punt return for more than 18 yards all season.

I know, excuses are just that. Excuses. But i came away from this game feeling better about this team than i did going into the game. Whether the score board shows it or not, they showed up for this game. This is one of the few times i completely disagree with Grzz when he say’s the Cowboys were “man handled”. I just didn’t see it that way. I thought the Cowboys played well enough to win on both sides of the ball. 24 points is enough to win every game this year except for the 2 games against the Giants. And it should have been enough to win this game. I don’t blame the defense because MBIII fumbles a screen pass or because Hixon and Jacobs picked last night to make the plays of their life. And i sure as hell don’t blame Romo for this one. And i dont blame the calender either. I don’t give a crap what month it is, when the other team has big plays like that YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE.

So to sum it up, I like the Cowboys chances. I really do. I like our chances next week against the Chargers, the week after against the Saints, yes i said the Saints, then againts the Skins and the last game against the Eagles. Why can’t we win all of these games? Somebody give me one solid reason why we can’t win these games. Don’t take the wuss way out and say “oh, its December”. Thats what the media does because they are to lazy to actually watch the game and come up with a real story. I like our offense, i like our defense, I like our special teams, I like our chances.

I agree with you but go ahead and throw in "I dont blame JG or Wade either." The team showed up

we just got bit in the ass on STs and a good call on Jacobs run.

KICK ASS every day!!!

ok.........

Your right, i dont blame JG or Wade. I blame that damn snake that bit us in the ass.

You know im actually surprised to see that most cowboy fans are really upset

with how Flozell acted yesterday and realize that he is hurting your team. Then of course there are the retard fans who are acting like sore losers thinking he hasnt done anything to warrant a suspension……………they are in the minority.

Look, I dont know what happens on the line during play,

I dont know what happen 5 seconds before the camera zoom in on him. I do know that Dlineman dont take off their halos before they play. I also know that your coach was happy with the way your team responded. Can you tell me unequivocally that Tuck didnt do something to him in the previous 2 series to provoke that.
I didnt like the way our team looked after you scored 2 TD right before the half. I was worried about a here we go again attitude. He shove him from behind. Big deal. If he goes for the knees or crotch or eyes then you have something other than that quit your whining. Or at least whine on your site.`

KICK ASS every day!!!

Like kicking him as he's running away?

C’mon dude, the guy is a habitual dirty shot waiting to happen. He got away with it because of a weird rule that didn’t penalize him, but would you be so forgiving if they started the second half kicking off from the 15 like they should have?

I personally feel that Dallas

needs to pick it up when the other team does the hurry up. The Giants turned the game around after not gaining but 38 total yards when they ran the hurry up and it took 4 plays to cut the lead to 10-7. Every game its the same way. There is a problem there and it gives other teams confidence.
