Home Stretch Predictions
I know, I know, Predictions are like opinions, which are like....well, something that everyone has, and they all stink.\
But, here's mine anyway:
Giants: Currently 7-5
They will go 2-2. they will lose to the Vikings, and they'll drop another division game. They'll be 9-6, and they can have the series sweep over us all they want, while we're in the playoffs and they're not.
Eagles: Currently 8-4
They will go 2-2. They will lose to the Giants or have a bad game and lose to the Broncos, and they will lose to us.
Cowboys: Currently 8-4
They will go 2-2 or 3-1. They will lose one of the next two games, but not both. They will beat Philly, but I'm just not sure about that Washington game.
Near as I can figure with my football brain, and the handy dandy Yahoo tool mentioned in another post, that means that if we can, in fact, win two of the next 3 and the Gnts and Iggles each drop one also, we're in regardless of the eagles game.(If the Vikes beat NYG, otherwise, we need the Eagles game)
The eagles game would determine who we play. If we beat PHI, we'd get a rematch with the Packers @ home. If we lose to Philly, we would have to play them the next weekend IN PHILLY.
Hmmm GB at home, or Philly on the Road. I think we better beat Philly in week 17.
Also, this is assuming the packers go at least 3-1 down the stretch, which they should.
So that's it. Win 2 of the next three and we're in, with a bit of help elsewhere.

i'm superstitious...
… that being said, i predict that Dallas will lose the remainder of their games to finish at 8-8.
[pssst — if i predict a winning record for those last four games, the opposite will probably happen, you know… so that’s why i’m playing it safe with my prediction]
Is playing smart too much to ask?
You guys can use this site to make your predictions:

Really anything can happen in the next couple weeks, but I can almost guarrantee that two teams from the East make it to the Wildcard/Playoffs.
In life, as in a football game, the principle to follow is: Hit the line hard.

I really dont mean to be the pessimist,
But I just dont see where 3 wins are gonna come from. Or even 2 for that matter. I dont even where 1 win will come from, but considering the law of averages, I can’t see the team dropping five in a row.
If the team would have shown me that it has grown up last Sunday, maybe I would have a little faith. Had they stepped on the Giants’ necks up 10-0, then maybe. But it just looks like more of the same to me.
I would be shocked if we found a way to knock off San Diego this weekend. That said, i will watch, I will cheer, and I will hope. But I dont EXPECT much of anything good from this team. I really hope I am wrong.

not me, I'm expecting them to beat SD, I really am
This team always comes back strong after back performances and this week will be no different.
The 3 wins Carl IMO will be against SD, Wash and Philly and I wouldn’t be shocked if beat N.O. if they are still undefeated, the pressure to go undefeated will start wearing on that team soon.
In Romo we Trust
Great prediction Terry
I see you are consistently wrong…At least YOU are consistent unlike our coaching staff!!!
Saint-Sly here and
It dont look too good for the Cowboys this month but I’mreally excited to have ya’ll come to our house and put on a good show that will be seen nationally. Good luck……..
I'm confident about the Skins game
I know they’ve been scrappy lately…but 3-9 is 3-9, no?
I feel like this is a good time to say yes to the immortal words of Bill Parcells.
2009 Dallas Cowboys: 10-6
2009 New York Jets: not 11-5 :(
2009-2010 Dallas Mavericks: 57-25
It's one thing to understand what's possible, and another thing to EXPECT
You can’t expect to beat the Saints or the Eagles. No one has yet beaten the Saints, and how often in the last decade have you guys managed a season sweep of us?
In our division it’s hard to expect anything other than straight up splitting games. Maybe you manage a sweep, but you never expect it. Heck, we went to the NFC championship game last year, but the Redskins swept us…this year we happened to sweep them…but expectations are tricky.
"What did it feel like? That collision, I didn't feel nothing, because he was pretty much defenseless. It was like running through a cardboard box. Seriously. Cardboard box."- Sheldon Brown on his pounding of Reggie Bush in the '06 Playoffs
I see the Eagles going 3-1. We will drop one of these games, and it could be any of them…I honestly don’t think Andy Reid will put us in a position to be swept by you guys. We finish the season 11-5 with the Division Title.
I see the Giants going either 2-2 or 3-1 depending on the Vikings. If the Vikings have clinched a first round bye, then they sit the stars, and the Giants win it for their 3rd of 4 games…they finish 10-6
Cowboys go 2-2…you’ll either beat San Diego or New Orleans, and you’ll either beat the Redskins or the Eagles (you don’t sweep both teams on the season), puts you at 10-6, but Giants get the wild card with their tie breaker.

Hmmm...
We did beat the Eagles AT Philly. We currently own the tiebreaker. The next time they play Dallas, it’ll be a home game for the ‘Boys. Seeing as how they’ve only lose one game at home, there’s no reason for you to have any faith as far as winning the division goes.

Exactly my point.
Normally I also predict splitting games with the other East teams. In fact, I probably predicted that at the beginning of this season. BUT, we beat Philly at home. I am not saying the next philly game is a lock or anything, but I do EXPECT to beat a team at home, if I already beat them on the road.
The key is beating Washington convincingly this time. If we lose (God forbid) to them, or beat them 7-6 again or 10-7, our guys won’t have much confidence when your eagles come to town. If we can play solid in all three phases agains the Skins, and the playoffs are on the line, our guys will finally get up for the game.
Last year we came to the philly game after a horrendous outing against Baltimore, in which we were embarrassed by blowing a late lead. That was the end of our season.
I can hope and expect this year to be better than that.
JERRY: I worked a club in Dallas one time and they couldn't afford to pay me so they gave me these. Oh, I can't wear these! They look ridiculous!
KRAMER: Ah, you look like a cowboy! Huh?
JERRY: But I don't wanna be a cowboy!

What?
You can’t expect to beat the Saints or the Eagles.
We beat the Eagles in Philly already this year, how is it reasonable to say that you should expect to beat us in Dallas? If you had been talking about expecting a sweep before the season then your argument may have held some weight but now it is just illogical.

my prediction
I predict Dallas will go 1-4 or 0-5 to finish out the season after Thanksgiving. We have become like the Lions: Thanksgiving is our Super Bowl.
I doubt Dallas will still be mathematically alive by week 17, but if that is the case look for another pasting at the hands of the Eagles. While I hate watching the team lose and disintegrate, this team is better off losing out the string than squeaking into the playoffs and losing in the wild card round. Major off-season changes need to be made and landing a playoff spot might reduce the scope of those changes or eliminate them all together.
For the first time since April, I look forward to reading Quincy’s highly anticipated draft fanpost.
Finally, the best bet I have seen in a long, long time is San Diego GETTING 3.5 points. I might have to set-up an offshore account for this one.

Did anyone predict the Cards going to the Super Bowl last year?
Especially after getting blown off the field by the Pats in the last game of the year. My point is…perhaps the Cowboys will come of age when we least expect it. Just watch the games and see how it all turns out before jumping off a bridge with four games to go.
Right! If we can get all three phases going at the same time.
The trouble with this season is we HAVE to win our divisional games from here on out. We have to in order to get to the playoffs. This **** division we’re in, we can’t sneak in like the Cards did last year, play half arsed football cuz their division was weak and had no one in the way. I give credit to the Cards though cuz they turned on the afterburners when it was needed most. Problem with the NFC East is, you have to be approaching full throttle the last month just to get to the dance.
