Blogging The Boys in San Antone?

My clock is now officially ticking down until training camp. I made it to my first training camp last year and it was a ball! I then promised myself I would never miss another training camp even though I live in California.

My question for you guys. Who here is planning on going to the first weekend of training camp this year in San Antonio? I say we try to have a Blogging the Boys party at training camp this year. Any takers? If its a lame idea feel free to let me have it.

I'll be there

I live in Austin so it’s easy for me to get down there. If you get a party organized I’ll be there.

Just found out today that I will have to relocate to S.A.

because of all these stupid economic problems.

Here I come Texas! At least I’ll be closer to my ’Boys!

No I havent

I was in Oxnard last year, but this year I will definitely will be making the trip down to San Antone. I’m curious are there any differences with the way its run down there? Is the night life better down there then in Oxnard?

San Antonio

Has great nightlife, IMO. Now, my experience is limited to the Riverwalk. I love it, but it seems that most people I meet who are from SA find it either boring or too touristy. You can for sure eat well in SA, I dont think thats up for debate.

Anyhow, I went with my buddies two years ago. We went on a Saturday to a morning session, then we went to eat lunch (and drink) at a place called Mi Tierra. Then before the afternoon session we scoped out the player hotel and actually found ourselves in conversation with Babe Laufenberg. We had a blast.

And as I recall the cost was I think 10 bucks to park at the alamodome.

Sweet! I love boring and touristy.

Anybody know the actual dates of Training Camp?

I’m not scheduled to move until June.

There's plenty to do in SA

The Riverwalk, Spurs games, great Tex-Mex food, an extremely cool water park called the Schlitterbahn, a Six Flags park, it’s only about an hour from Austin, and plenty more stuff to do.

I think you’ll love it, if you don’t mind the hot and humid summertime.
