Quick thought
I recently read that the Bears have cut Mike Brown. I know he has been injured quite a bit but wouldnt he be an upgrade over Roy Williams 1? This is just speculation on my part, and although I do not know a whole lot about him, I know he has been great for the Bears when healthy.
Also, Dre Bly was released. Looking at him may allow us to move A. Henry to safety, although based on the horrendus excuse for pass defense that the Broncos had last season, we are probably better off without him.

Hmm...
Mike Brown is a force but has gotten injured I believe the past 3 years in a row…. Dre Bly, NO, he will probably want to much and is not too much of an upgrade. Also had his best years in a Tampa 2 scheme

Chris McAlister of Baltimore released...
convert to FS ??? 6’1" 210….nice size, and he’s always been a playmaker…not sure how his knee is holding up…..but he’s worth a look, if he comes here cheap……might be able to convince Ray Lewis to follow him here…
DaWayne Robertson-NT released from Denver in cap move…..6’1" 308lbs….hmmm..can he plug the middle on running downs ?..
Clinton Hunt-SS rumored to be a possible cap casualty

Mike Brown WAS great player but he is long past his prime. Injuries have turned him into a backup now. Dre Bly had a stretch about 3 or 4 years ago where he was really good but he isn’t anymore. I do like the idea of McAlister coming here but I’m not sure he would move to FS and even if he did he is just a short term replacement who would probably cost to much and not be that much of an upgrade over a guy we could draft.

Aging vets in the secondary are not needed.
I’d rather they move up the guys they have and insert 2 or 3 fresh pairs of legs in the draft.

I Like Mike
Injuries aside, he is EXACTLY what this team needs back there. Someone who can diagnose a deep ball before it gets thrown and make a play. He has a knack for making game-ending and game-saving INT’s and he plays smart (football intelligence seeming to be kryptonite to the Dallas War Room).
Now, bringing the injury thing back around, he plays with abandon and his body just can’t take it. Relying on him for a full 16 would be a risky bet.
