Here`s my mock draft, I`ve awarded us 2 compensatory picks and adjusted the overall selection number to reflect the addition of the compensatory picks throughout the league. I used the rankings from NFL Draft Scout last updated on March 21 and only selected players ranked lower than the overall pick. For example Sean Smith is ranked 52.

Also I have noticed many fans feel that Jerry the wheeler and dealer will not keep all these picks and probably swap picks to move up and lower the amount of selections that we have. When I break down the roster I find we have 39 players in which the foundation of the team can be built upon.

Now 53 players make the team meaning we have 14 openings to fill. Will all 11 draft picks make the 53 man squad? history would probably say no but if you lower the 11 picks to 7 does that mean all 7 are virtual locks? But again for argument`s sake lets go crazy and say all 11 draft picks make the team and at the same time know that a draft pick not making the 53 man squad could still go on the practice squad. So after the 11 picks are added to the 39 we now have 50 players and need 3 more for our 53 man roster.

Of course all roster spots are up for grabs in preseason but for this excersize let`s award the final 3 spots to
