Holy crap
Huge news.
I’ll write more when I’ve regained my senses.
Kanye, you want to be the voice of this generation? Get in line! It goes me, Obamagirl, the Freecreditreport.com guys, then It's a tie between you-and Crocs.

I've defended T.O. quite a bit the past few years...
but it’ll be nice not to have the headaches.

Talk about turning a calm Wednesday night upside down!
Was just about to crash out, but now I’m grabbing another beer and watching the forums/news develop.

I liked TO so I'm pretty pissed.
Gonna be a long season.

I'm in freakin shock
Even though Jerry’s statements regarding him were oddly…vague…I thought for sure since very little was leaked, we had decided to keep him.
A freaking plus to our staff for not leaking this i guess. Shows how much things have changed this offseason.
I still can’t believe they made the move though.

No, we didn't
We come out at pretty much neutral as opposed to if we’d kept him. I think our cap is 660k more impacted than it was before, big whoop.

And for the two years afterwards, we free up quite a bit

I think he's meaning dead money. Could we possibly add more dead money by cutting RW1?

As much as this may hurt us
Good in the long run.
TO was overpaid. He was old. He was in decline. He was trying to make this offense into something it wasn’t. He was perpetually dissatisfied.
Was he still a gamebreaker? Sure. Was his cancerous influence overstated? Probably. But dropping him sets the tone for this team: Nobody is safe. No matter your contractual situation, no matter your status with the club, no matter how many players on the squad vouch for you… You’d better represent with production and pride or your ass is hitting the pavement.

agreed
I’ve gotta say, i’m liking this offseason more and more. jerry, or stephen, or whoever is calling these shots, they are holding people accountable. Finally. Next I’d like to see a qb coaching change, someone who will work with Romo and stay on top of him with these turnovers.
I’m a lot more positive about the direction of this team than I was 2 months ago.

I'm just glad he's gone so we can move on
You can hear crickets in the locker room now which is a good thing. The definition of addition by subtraction.
