Steven A. Smith on T.O's release..I usually hate this guy, but he's right. T.O. is the only one besides Ware who has consistently played/coached at a high level, and he gets cut. Jerry lied, and T.O. should be shocked.

Steven A Smith is right on the money.....
This team, my team, is a joke…..this is a sad sad day, worst move this team has done in my 33 years of following this team.
as Ham points out, for all the wrong reasons..
good luck putting forth a championship team with 107 miilion in cap space.

Get a grip guys
When people resort to using SAS’s insane ranting to prove their belief, it’s time for a reality check.
Feb. 27 -- Veteran free agency signing period begins. Trading period begins.
April 25-26 -- NFL Draft

Give me a break...
Despite the fact that TO has been productive everywhere he has played, this is the third time that a team has felt it was in their best interests to get him off their roster.
Jerry just took the high road rather than tell it like it is, and now SAS is playing TO to be the victim is laughable.
This event has been rumored for the last couple of months….apparently TO is so consumed with himself, he doesn’t pay attention to off-season media reports.
Goodbye Drama Queen.

+1
If you look at TO from a numbers standpoint, this move makes no sense but when you factor in what a cancer and spotlight hog he is, it makes perfect sense. He was so quick to throw Romo, Redball and Wade under the bus but never looked in the mirror at all his drops and his inability to get off of jams.
TO is a female dog and his absence just made this group of players into a team.

Don't forget Witten
Jason Witten suffered more than anyone from the sneak attack by TO. Witten is the one whose reputation was sullied by the cancer tumor aka TO. Jason Witten has more heart and guts than TO will ever dream about. TO is a worthless no good scumbag.

How any times did he use the word BETRAYED?
It’s riduculous. First, Jones is the BOSS and T.O. was the EMPLOYEE, people get fired EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK. Is that betrayal, or is it a business decision? I can see hime being shocked because of the bonus he got, but to feel betrayed is stupid.

I wish
(Sorry this is so long, just got a lot to say)
…. I agree T.O.‘s talent was immense and I wish he could have stayed, but you have to realize, it’s not about being right; it’s about being a team player.
Just because you have the ability to put up audacious numbers doesn’t mean it’s best for the team to force the ball to you. MORE IMPORTANTLY, the WAY T.O. goes about trying to force his agenda on the team is the problem. Complaining to teammates simply spreads the dissent. Talking to the media turns it from a small controlled burn to a wildfire and antics on the sideline (yelling at other players, pouting, refusing to talk) fans that fire. There are ways to go about pushing change within a group that don’t undermine the overall group or cause and that’s what T.O.‘s problem is. He may be the most talented person on the team, but he doesn’t know how to get others to follow him in a positive way.
If T.O. were in a military unit and he thought his way was the best and he clashed with the leader, he’d get everyone killed or he would be thrown out. It’s about working together with the unit, and T.O. doesn’t understand how to influence his units without causing dissent.
Think about Michael Irvin. He knew how to get the team to follow him. He knew how to get the coaches to use him in a productive way. He also knew when to shut up and take what the coaches gave him. Imagine if he threw tantrums because Aikmen didn’t get him the ball enough, or in the right place. Imagine if he screamed that he wanted to catch corner fades in the endzone after all those catches he took down inside the five, only to see Emmitt get the ball, the TD and the glory? We could easily have had a similar internal struggle like we did with T.O. but, luckily, Irvin knew how to swallow his pride enough to benefit the team overall. Irvin knew when to speak up and how to, and when he did speak up, he had the ability to sell it. T.O.‘s has all the ability on the field, but his personal skills, his pride, his lack of salesmanship and his self-centered-ness are the reasons his presence is such a problem.
He may have the most talent of any WR ever, but talent alone cannot prevail. I know guys that are the smartest guys I’ve ever met, but their intelligence gets them in trouble, because they cannot shut their brains off enough to “play the game” of life. Instead they speak up, they whine, they bitch, they quit, because they can’t take the fact that they know they are smarter than people above them and yet they aren’t being given the chance to be the leader.
To be the leader or the best, doesn’t simply come from being the most talented or the most intelligent, it takes self awareness, skills to play the game, and the willingness and understanding to do so. T.O. is like the super smart kid in class, who is too smart for his own good.
I hate to see his talent go. But in all likelihood, it’s for the better of the team.

I never realized Steven A Smith was a clown
he gets paid to talk? Bottom line is I liked Owens, he caught balls, moved the chains, scored tds, was entertaining, but I`m glad he`s gone and I think we will be better off without him. Our chances of winning the SuperBowl are greater without him.
