Possible FBs in the draft
I do not know a lot about the fbs in the draft so I was hoping someone could do some research. I know we like to run a two tight end set most of the time, but I really do believe it makes it a lot easier to run down the middle with a big fullback leading the way. Do we possibly lineup Witten in the backfield to lead the way, or are there any fbs in this years draft that can give our running backs some more room.
I have even wondered if Marion could fill in this roll. I think if we lined Marion barber and Felix up Marion could act as a fullback with his strength. I think cricket needs to go and we need a bigger fb. I do not think it is really in our game plan but I was wondering about what you guys think? I really believe having a Lorenzo Neal helped LT a lot in his career and we could really use someone like him. Do you think it is something we will possibly look into or do you guys think we will stick with the two tight end sets. I like it when we are running to the outside with felix but our inside running game needs to be improved is this the way to do it?

I have No Idea What Garrett's Philosphy Is
about the use of a FB.In our glory days we Had Johnson.Another era Newhouse. Both gave us production and setup things for Dorsett and Emmitt.
We don’t seem to use a FB much and it seems that many college teams don’t use one much if at all.
I would love to have a Preston Pearson type of back but they seem to be a rare commodity these days.

Brannan Southerland
is the only viable FB worthy of a draft pick (5th). He is a solid blocker and has decent hands.
Quinn Johnson from LSU will get a 6th or 7th round look, but it’s a bunch of undraftable guys IMO.

Tony Fiammetta
Is the overall best FB in the class and is rated to go in rounds 4-5 seeing we have 3 5th round picks and 4 ths i think we could take him easily he runs a 4.58 so it seems like he is a linebacker in a sense but if he added a few pounds and worked with some NFL coachs this kid could be good. And with his speed he could be utilized in the passing attack to.

Fiametta is a stiff
He’s no Moose, despite being from the same alma mater.

I think with the emergence of Felix and Tashard
Putting Marion at FB could be a fantastic idea. He lacks the prototypical size, but he’s tough, he blocks well, and he’s a punishing hitter. Not to mention he’d be a major threat catching balls out of the backfield. Although if our receivers struggle, it would give other teams even more reason to load the box up. That said, I definitely think it’s at least worth looking into and trying during the preseason.

I like Jorvorskie Lane
Not because he is any good, but because I think it would be cool to have a 280-pound FB.

If Bigg did it
perhaps it would only be for a play or two in the entire game; maybe Holland could fill in for one or two plays instead of Procter
