Around SBN: 2012 Budweiser Shootout Entry List Released

Please Banish JJT to Washington, Philadelphia, or New York.

Gotta be honest here - just saw his little interview with Rich Eisen on NFL Network.  I'm sick of this guy man, he makes me furious.  He seems to be the one person that everyone wants to talk "cowboys" with, and he doesn't represent this team half as well as he should.

This guy seems to get a kick out of trashing the team that's more or less creating enough of a buzz to pay his bills.  He hasn't had a positive article about our 'Boys for what seems like years, and i'm tired of him nay-saying everything they do.  I thought I was as pessimistic as they come, but boy was I wrong.

Bottom line - go work for Philly, Washington, or New York.  At least this kind of Cowboy-bashing is welcome there.  Get a new number JJT, your old one is wearing thin.

I agree

He also looks like an alien mind reader, which freaks me out, and yea he’s a huge factor in the heavy yellow journalism media bias on the cowboys.

He'll still never be as bad as Dale Hansen, Randy Galloway, and The Little Ball of Hate.

JJT’s just following the script laid out by these others. He figures if he’s negative enough about the Cowboys he’ll be Tim Cowlishaw-ing on ATH and keep getting his guest spots on BSPN. He also gets fans fired up so that interest in his columns remains high season long if only so that we can email him about what an a** he is.

There is no theory of evolution. Just a list of creatures Chuck Norris has allowed to live.

JJT definitely isn't as bad as a lot of bloggers on BTB

as far as bashing the Boys, I’ve definitely seen worse here.

If I see his name on anything I won't read it

unless it’s actual news and not him running his mouth

I don't get it

Who needs “positive” articles written about their favorite team? JJT isn’t paid to be positive; he’s paid to offer his assessment. And its not like the guy is out in left field (did any of you watch the Baltimore or Philly games last december?). Would any of you place a serious bet on Wade Phillips doing something this year that he has never done in his entire 30+ years in the league—improved in the third year of his coaching stint? That’s right. The only other team that has given him three years is Buffalo. Here is how those teams did in the three years under Phillips:

1998: 10-6
1999: 11-5
2000: 8-8

We’ll have to see what the schedule looks like, but history doesn’t portend great success for the cowboys in 2009. I think the 8-8 prediction is fair.

Look, if you guys want to live in fairytale land where the cowboys are NOT a team that hasn’t won a playoff game in 12 years, then just read the stuff on the PR site: dallascowboys.com. Do what sublimezg does and ignore JJT and his ilk.

But really? Who cares what some $30,000 a year reporter has to say? It means nothing. If the Cowboys go out and prove him wrong, then all the better. Maybe if the media continues to write negative stories, this team will get a chip on its shoulder and begin to play like they have something to prove. Something needs to motivate this team. It doesn’t look like its going to be Phillips.

+1

I agree. I don’t really expect the media to blow sunshine up my butt about the Cowboys, and I hope the talented writers here don’t either. If that is how he really feels about the Cowboys then he should write it. If I had to write about one of the most disappointing franchises of the last decade, I would be bitter as well.

Agreed

Does any other fan base whine about media coverage more than ours? I doubt it.

(Romo) still gets excited when he buys a new t-shirt at Target for crying out loud
