If everyone's got a mock draft, then....
Here's my shot at one. I am by no means saying this mock of mine is the only way to go, but I spent some time going over my picks and did take a straightforward pick-to-need perspective. I like these players I picked, and I believe they will help us tremendously. I did not go past pick 172, because for the life of me, I have no idea who we would want after that point in the draft, and any pick by me would really be some serious speculation. But this is what I would like to get out of the draft. Chime in if you think I'm "wrong" or "Out of Whack" with the value of a certain pick of mine, as well as if you think a player would be "Way gone' by the time the pick is made.
51. Sean Smith CB
69. Jasper Brinkley ILB
101. Darcel McBath FS
117. Brandon Tate WR
156. Jarrett Dillard WR
166. Louis Vasquez G
172. Terrance Taylor DT/NT
NFL Draft Countdown has us picking Pat White with pick#51, and that made me want to come out with a mock.

Also we need a pick at 208 compensatory. I would prefer a QB rather than 2 receivers. But, I could live with those picks. Most of the values seem to be within reason. Players will go up and down the draft boards during the lying season but, normally end up pretty close to their original spots. There are exceptions i.e. Brady Quinn . Those picks fill the needs and are good players.
I'd kick a hobo for Dallas to get Smith at 51
But the hobo has to be wearing a Redskins hat.
Everything's looking up, Milhouse!

LOL Didn't you know ...
it’s Be Kind to Hobos Day? Just rip that hat off his head and stomp it into the ground … that should be enough.
Wow I normally love NFLdraftcountdown,com
but.. this is in Pat Whites bio
but.. this is in Pat Whites bio
May attempt to follow in the footsteps of guys like Antwaan Randle El, Josh Cribbs, Brad Smith and Isaiah Stanback as college signal callers who made the successful transition to wideout in the pros…

Maybe they meant Patrick Crayton.

Probably Crayton
But Crayton is no more than a #3, with our second round pick I want a guy w/ potential to play this year not someone that is going to be buried on the depth chart for many years

my comments
51. Sean Smith CB if he`s there would be worth the pick but he`s rated at 35 now and more than likely will be gone by our pick.
69. Jasper Brinkley ILB a thumper for sure but maybe only a 2 down ILB and too early in my opinion, also other ILB I prefer.
101. Darcel McBath FS I like this pick but he`ll be gone by this point, also can`t see us taking 2 safeties this early as I view Smith as a safety.
117. Brandon Tate WR would be a steal at this point and I think he`s gone before this pick.
156. Jarrett Dillard WR can`t see 2 wr`s being taken.
166. Louis Vasquez G we need fresh blood on the o-line.
172. Terrance Taylor DT/NT not my favorite NT but can live with it.
Reasonable Ziggy, but I have a question...
or two. first, there are some mocks that have smith being picked after our pick, so I dont see him not getting picked by us if he makes it that far. Some (like myself) think Smith is worth jumping up a few spots and pick him. We would do well to explore the possibility- what would it take? Maybe not that much. I think it would be a masterfvul move.
I can understand your feeling about Brinkley early. I think Brinkley will be fine in coverage. Maybe we should draft McBath at 69 and Brinkley at 101, although I think he won’t be there at 101.
I actually believe we need more than one reciever. Dillard is special, and he is worth it.

I like it
I could see Smith going early to end of first or falling all the way to us and brinkley is one of my fav linebacker in the draft so i like it.
I thank God everyday i wasnt born a Eagles fan!!!!!!

I like Brinkley a lot too. I’m not sold on Smith, he wants to be a corner not a safety

7 round mock draft i came across
51. Herman Johnson, G, LSU
69. Patrick Chung, S, Oregon
101. Will Davis, DE, Illinois
117. Jarron Gilbert, DT, San Jose St.
156. Brandon Gibson, WR, Washington St.
166. Mohamed Massaquoi, WR, Georgia
197. David Veikune, DE, Hawaii
208. Chase Daniel, QB, Missouri
210. Tony Carter, CB, Florida St.
227. Joel Bell, OT, Furman
This isn’t my mock draft but there are some picks that I like. I like the Johnson and Chung picks and the Gibson pick isn’t bad but the 2 undersized DE’s aren’t that good and Gilbert doesn’t really fit that well. I also don’t like taking 2 WR’s.
They have Chung and Johnson mixed up...
Chung is a 2nd rounder, and Johnson will fall for ?s about work ethic and just overall weight issues. Will Davis is way too high and he is more of a traditional 4-3 DE, he is too heavy to convert to OLB and is too small to be 3-4 DE. I would go for OLB at that spot, Gilbert will be gone way, way before then. Gibson is a solid pick but we haven’t shown any interest in him. I like Massaquoi, he is a good athlete, has a stand up character and is a fine football player as well, he will need time to break the stone around his hands but Austin can teach him how. Veikune is intriguing, Daniel is cool, a lil high but its all good, Carter is a solid pick, and Bell has a little too much potential to be a 7th rounder.

Bravo
I’ve seen wayyyyyyy too many of these but this is clearly one of the better ones (even though it is still a bit off) since it addresses the needs for depth on the team. I love the Brinkley pick because I think he’ll be there and it’s a smart choice.
1. Because it’s a weak safety class, McBath should go in the top 75
2. Tate, despite coming off a big injury, has huge upside and should be gone by 117
Still, very nice work!

Yeah, maybe switch McBath and Brinkley's spot.

Won't matter
The point is we won’t get all 3.

The thing about it Bling is...
Alot of people believe we should get a “Kevin Burnett” type linebacker ( like Darry Beckwith)rather than a plugger like Brinkley. I disagree with that, because I believe Brinkley is very good against the pass also. Burnett could run, even possibly catch Westbrook on screens and such, but let’s not forget how important it is to force a team to run somewhere because they couldn’t run up the middle. That is what makes sense of the pick of Brinkley.
At reciever, alot of people are starting to come around about the need for 2 recievers (my belief), not one (even though Miles Austin is staying) and the reason is because the weakness in our recievers are they are not varied enough in they’re talent. If we drafted Tate and Dillard, those two recievers are different, and pose different problems for defenses. If you bring enough of these “problems” to a defense, then your offense can “click”. The kind of reciever we need the most is Dillard’s type. Nothing against Roy (I love him and think he’s gonna dominate) but we don’t have a “Scat” Wr. – “and what is that” you say.
A reciever that can make quick moves right at the line of scrimmage and seperate from DB’s quickly for a Timing pass. We don’t seem to value that type of talent enough to go after a reciever like that, and we don’t seem to have one like that at all. That is what I believe Dillard’s talent is best suited for, that “Wes Welker” role. And that is why I believe this draft we should take 2 WR’s, as well as 2 CB’s. We need every pick we have, so that’s it in a nutshell.
Tate is simply a downfield threat at every hike of the ball. Nice to have him and Austin for that.
See how this post started with linebackers, and ended with recievers? Ha!

Well...
Brinkley’s ability against the pass is an unknown since he is still not 100% from his injury and is probably nowhere near the shape he could be in after a season in the NFL. we know he can fill, though, and that’s enough for me.
Tate is big time. Since he’s also not 100%, people haven’t seen that much of his explosiveness, and I hope that works against him enough to keep him around long enough for Dallas to get a shot at him. He can run the hard slant and has absolutely no fear.

As of right now...
I would call Crayton a much more successful QB to WR conversion than Isaiah stanback, or most other players that have done the same. Even though Crayton only was QB his Senior season.
Tony Romo off in dat hole, Watch roll and watch him throw, Watch him lead dem cowboys to the super bowl, now watch me "yua!" crank dat cowboys, Now watch me "yua!" crank dat cowboys, Now watch me "yua!" crank dat cowboys, Now watch me "yua!" crank dat cowboys!

Good Draft here
Covers many of our biggest needs. Hope Smith is there at 51st. Also, I like Dillard over Tate, but would love to get them both.
