Brad Johnson was the SNITCH???
http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2009/04/jason-witten-took-the-blame-but-it-sound.html
If that's true, he should watch himself the next time he considers traveling to the DFW metroplex. A washed-up, limp wristed piss poor excuse for a back-up QB who couldn't throw a spiral, much one 20 yards, was the one ratting out the Cowboys problems to Ed Worthless?
And can anyone here believe Tim McMahon actually addresses Werder as "one of the best reporters covering the NFL"? Granted, ESPN's level of quality has severely dimished over the years, and is now little more than Sports Tabloid Television, but to call the biggest rumor-milling, anonymous source using hacks covering the pro circuit "one of the best" is a sad, pathetic notion.
I wish the Cowboys would go into lockdown mode like they did with Big Bill and Jimmy Johnson. Tell the children to STFU and do their jobs.
Brad Freakin' Johnson...

I care
very much who the snitch was. My heart would have been broken if it was actually Witten.
Remember when some people thought we’d be better with Brad Johnson at QB? lol.

Oh yeah
he really showed how beneficial his experience was to our team…it’s a miracle we even won one game with him at QB.

I'm sorry...
But I could have sworn this was for discussing the Cowboys. So I guess no one can discuss the 90’s, Bill Parcells, TO, or the collapsed practice bubble because they’re all in the past?

I'm past this...
If the team is going to ever dig itself out of its late season and playoff hole, it has to give grace to the past and move on.
I think the provocateur in all of this was T.O. and he too is gone.
What’s left to say about it that hasn’t already been said?
"Well, we didn't block real good but we made up for it by not tackling."

It still may be relevant
The last paragraph of the story might support this
T.O. is gone. So is Johnson. So why does this matter to the Cowboys?
There are still a lot of guys in that locker room who are loyal to T.O. Witten has maintained his innocence against the snitching accusations all along, stating that he was too good of a teammate to do such a thing. The NFL Network just helped his case

I did notice that Easy Ed was not covering Dallas on draft day
Maybe he’s been reassigned. Fingers crossed.

Great find, and far from irrelevant.
Wow, if the snitch was Brad Johnson, what a joke. Brad friggin Johnson!! It would be a scrub starting all this drama.
Jerry Jones could go in his sock, slap you wit a stack of hundreds, then catch you again on the backswing wit 3 Super Bowl rings. So who the hell are you makin' fun of?

yea i read this yesterday
I think this is absolutely relevant, i don’t see the argument as to why its not.
And I’m royally pissed about brad johnson. What a little bitch. Not only was he incapable of doing ANYTHING for us offensively (not all his fault, more garrett’s for keeping him) but he took a royal dump on this team by going to the media.
Although its funny – if ed werder said that it was brad johnson, noone would’ve cared…lets see, TO pretty much ripped him when he was starting and jason garret, and garret stuck up for brad – its only logical BJ would have a bone to pick.

No.
Brad totally denies talkin’ to Werder.

Well, I don't really expect the informant to smile for the camera and say, "It was me"
Anyone guilty would still deny it initially
by BishopWest on May 2, 2009 7:43 AM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
given how much crap was out at the time
i guess it wouldn’t surprise me if there was more than 1 guy who talked to the media.
That being said, wouldn’t you expect brad to deny talking to werder? Any legacy he has would struck down by this.

did anyone actually read the story?
it seems to me nothing but DMN speculation it was Johnson, based on Sapp saying that BJ was giving him the lowdown on the cowboys locker room. I didnt really see anything that said he was Werder’s source. talking to an ex-teammate currently an analysy isnt the same thing as talking to a reporter

+100
Im no big fan of BJ, but just assuming he was the source at this point would be just as wrong as people assuming Witten was in the beginning. Dont be sheep people. Dont let the media float a theory and just swallow it hook line a sinker. In reality, there may not be a soul outside of Werder and the source who knows who the source(s) is.

I guess I'm in the minority here
I wanna talk football. I understand post’s like the recent collapse…and such because it is relevant to the present, but jeeez this was 6 months ago and it’s not relevant to football. I know that there is freedom to post what you want on this blog but I really hope it doesn’t turn into ESPN (Drama for Men)
