Something to brag about...
Other than the obvious...DeMarcus Ware, Jason Witten & arguably the best 3 headed monster at RB with, Barber, Felix & Tashard...What do us Cowboys fans have to brag about headed into the 09 season?
Me personally, I love our new look secondary with Newman, Jenkins, Scandrick & Sensabaugh. These guys will be flying all around the field. (Anything is better than Anthony Henry, Pacman & Roy Williams.)
I'm also a big Bradie James fan, this guy has proven himself to be a hard nosed, consistent tackler every season. I think maybe 09 is the year he makes the pro-bowl.
I also think we have good depth at TE position, with Marty B behind Witten. From what I've read, We might come out with alot od 2 TE sets this season.

Agree 100%
Key defensive player, and the leader on the defensive side of the ball. One of my favorite players.
Training Camp '09 = Mega Thunder Dome....80 men enter, 53 men leave.

He deserved a Pro Bowl nomination
Hope he can maintain that level of play this year and gets more support from K Brooking than he did from Zack T.
'Kade Out!'
I'll give you plenty
Romo, Witten, our 3 RBs, a defense which should be much better with the addition of Sensabugh and a much improved ST….and oh, I forgot, no T.O.! That in and of itself should be something to brag about.
In Romo we Trust
I
had a dream last night that I missed a Cowboys playoff game … they lost 28-20 to the Favre-lead Packers. Only issue was … he threw for 285 yards and ONLY 2 picks. Plus, our QB was still Bledsoe.
Haven’t had a nightmare like that in years. I’m excited that we don’t have to deal with anything like that this year!
Booyah!
Marty B is the real deal
He has all the skills and looked real impressive to me in his limited action last year. If only Jason Garrett can figure out the right way to use him……..oh crap.
Im very excited about last years draft. It looks like we nailed it.
For all the hype of who had a good draft this year the players from last year should have more of an impact this year. 2 corners whose early returns say they should be keepers the next 6-8 years. Felix and Marty B show potential pro bowl talent. Choice in the 4th looks like he could/should challenge for the mythical starter role. I look forward to watching these guys step up even more this year.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the goverment from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
Great draft last year!
We can only hope some of this year’s class follows in their footsteps.
Garrett needs to get a clue!
How about the New Stadium
I agree with your post and I really like the secondary! I like the speed that Jenkins and Orlando have to go along with Newman and I always heard good things about Gerald S when I watched Jags games. I’m excited to see what he brings (supposedly good coverage)
This sounds cheesy but I think the new stadium could be another factor that helps this team get over the past. It’s just something thats fresh to everyone, it will bring allot of excitment to the players, fans and coaches. I live in Az and it sure helped the Cardinals turn things around.
And how about this. If there is one area that I could gurantee the cowboys would be better at than in 08 its special teams. They practially cant get worse(other than fg’s, Folk your the man). The new coach is getting everyones attention, they drafted many a player to fill those rolls , even a kicker who should help out drastically on kickoffs.

good stuff
I agree, special teams will have a whole new look this season.
Special Teams alone should win us 1 possibly 2 games this season unlike last year, when Special Teams lost us a game vs Arizona

My first post on this here blog!
Tony Romo is something to brag about, even though he is still up and coming. As is Terence Newman.
