Every Team Finds Their SPARK
Seems every team, in addition to talent and chemistry, finds that extra spark from a guy that captures magic in a bottle. Bill Bates comes to mind as one of those players capable of motivating the entire team with one solid HIT. The Cowboys' roster seems to be overflowing with guys poised for break-out seasons, but who will be the MAN that stands out as giving the Boys that extra spark in 2009?
1. MBIII - The 2007 spark epitomized by his run against the Patriots, shoving aside tacklers, avoiding a safety and gaining a few yards.
2. Felix - The 2008 phenom potential, only to be lost early to injury, Jones has the tools.
3. Austin - Mere flashes last year left Cowboys fans wanting more.
4. Romo - From his first start - the nationally televised Sunday Night game against the Panthers - he's shown the talent it takes to win big... and thus single-handedly upped all Cowboys fans' expectations.
5. Sensabaugh - There's a reason Jags fans are sorry to say good-bye to their 2008 defensive spark ... given his surrounding talent, he may prove even better in big D.
6. Demarcus Ware / Anthony Spencer - It's easy to pick Ware as the guy; we practically expect it from him. But what if he were to take his already dominant game to an even higher level? With Ware garnering attention, don't be surprised if Spencer takes full advantage of the starting role he's assuming... If he gets double-digit sacks, this team will thrive.
7. The Rookies - Hodge, Williams, Hamlin, Bueller, etc... any one of the rookies could put the "special" into our kicking game. I must admit, I've only watched limited footage of these guys (mostly on Draft weekend), so I cannot pick one guy... but the expectations for this rookie group are already raising at BTB and throughout Cowboy land.
Who's your choice? Who would you add to the list?

All the above...
and more.
I expect Carpenter to break out.
Bennett is set to explode.
Igor and Spears are both cocked and ready to fire.
How bout the CBs Jenkins and Scandrick?
Montrae Holland, anyone?
Not to mention the Special Teams as a 4-part ensemble.
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Is this great or what?
It's not personal, it's just business

I don't know about Carpenter and Holland
but everybody else, including an improved special teams, has me awfully optimistic.
I’m slightly less enthused about our O-line and the loss of T.O.‘s presence on offense, but I still think we have the weapons at Romo’s disposal for the team to not miss a step. Maybe no single receiver putting up T.O.’s numbers, but with Austin, Bennett, Hurd, Crayton, and above all else Witten, we should have enough role players to help shoulder the load and relieve some of the pressure off of Roy Williams.
And Wade calling the defense from day 1. That’s going to be huge. We saw how much the defense improved once Wade started calling the plays. They collapsed in the last 2 games, but the whole team seemed to crumble under the pressure. With Wade running the defense from the start, I think we neither side of the ball will feel the pressure to bail the other one out. With both sides clicking on all cylinders and an improved special teams unit helping with field position, they should be able to perform more cohesively.

Yeah, Jenkins and Scandrick are who I was thinking.
I believe those corners are our future…teach them well and let them lead the way…

Oh, found a link with vids...
You could note that some of the sacks that he allowed, aren’t exactly his fault, but it isn’t a matter of the guys making the numbers hating on him, they use the same logic for every OLineman in the League and most of them don’t allow that many sacks… That’s Rob Petitti like…
He sucked last year.

I would add Scandrick to that list
I see him beating out Jenkins to start opposite Newman and becoming an up and coming star in the secondary for us.
In Romo we Trust

I should have put a "Scandrik / Jenkins" addition to the list...
Both of them are capable of having a HUGE year.
I would love to see our corners with a few pick-6s in 2009… seems we’re due. It’s looking good we have our corners for the foreseeable future in these two … last year’s draft, without Felix or Bennett, was a success for only these two!
