Let's Put Our Heads Together Re: Ed Werder

There must be a way to get this poor excuse for a pundit canned from BSPN. His ridiculous tabloid coverage of the Cowboys needs to stop! If I hear one more asinine Romo/TO, Romo/Jessica, Romo/bottom-heavy -- anything regarding him talking about Romo not related directly to football, I'm going to scream! I try to watch as little ESPN as possible, but when I see the star on the TV I turn the volume up.

Any ideas for a grass-roots campaign to get Werder off the air? Abusive signs behind him while he's on-air, heckling, letters to the Mothership, signing him up on the NAMBLA mailing list... anyone?

Have you ever heard of the saying "even negative press is good press"?

ESPN, and all media for that matter, live on the philosophy that people watch, listen and read not only the things they like, but also and maybe to a greater and wider extent for what they hate and from people they can’t stand; Hence, all the stories about the Cowboys, T.O., Mike Tyson from ESPN, Skip Bayless, Howard Stern, Rush Limbaugh.

Hell, you start a Campaign like this and Wiener will end up with his own syndicated show and a major pay raise!

As much as I detest Dead Terder...

…you know it’s BSPN that puts him up to it.

I got it

Get him drunk, wait until he passes out, then shave off half his mustache.

Training Camp '09 = Mega Thunder Dome....80 men enter, 53 men leave.

Greatness

He’d be like Tom Tucker on Family Guy after having to forfeit his ’stache.

They (ESPN) would just send another drone to replace him.

It’s a losing battle fighting the Empirical Sports Pro NewEngland machine. They are the TMZ of all things sports related. Style over substance is the rule of law these days. I suggest you go to nfl.com,mlb.com,etc. for scores. Then roll right here for news!

Guy's just doing his job

he’s not the only one. Yes, he’s grotesque looking and it makes it that much easier to hate him, but he’s no different than anybody covering the Cowboys. They’re ALL very cynical when it comes to the team. A bunch of guys just looking for the uh…juciest(?) story.

I for one still watch ESPN, NFLN, NBATV, etc. You just kind of have to take everything everybody says with a grain of salt.

Yeah, he's just so tabloid sleezy though

I’m not big at giving someone a free ride for “doing their job”, but it’s not like he’s a concentration camp guard or anything. Just a half-rate, half-wit hack for BSPN.

What did he say that was untrue or false?

He broke some pretty big news last season, what with T.O.‘s bitching about Witten/Romo, getting in a fight with Witten, and an anonymous source bitching about the whole thing. He got some information that nobody else was privy to, and went on air with it. I certainly don’t think that makes him a hack.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m really not a fan of Werder’s at all…his look screams “molester”. It’s just all this “The ‘MSM’ is SOOOOO mean and constantly lies about our Cowboys, and ONLY our Cowboys” talk is hilarious.
