really sad stuff...

I feel for his wife and family… and hope his legacy will remain a positive one. He was a great role model in so many ways… starting with being a WARRIOR on the field. Great guy, great player.

I can unabashedly say that Steve McNair was by far my favorite non-Dallas Cowboys player. Ever.

He represented everything that EVERY football player should hope to ever be. Tough. High character. A pure leader. Class.

He was one of the toughest players to play to the game of football, and he loved playing. I know that Dallas fans are not supposed to root for Houston team, but I always secretly cheered on the Oilers. When they moved to Nashville, I became a fan of them as well. Still am. And having McNair as their quarterback made it even easier to root them on.

I loved watching McNair play and it’s sad to see him leave us in this fashion. This has hit me pretty hard, and I find myself oddly at a loss for words. All I can say is how much I loved him not only as a football player but as a great, great person.

You will be missed, Steve.

This one hurts bad.

And it looks like a fishy situation from the early reports. I hope the circumstances of his death don’t make it any harder for his family. 36 seems old when you always think in football terms but man is it ever young.

Sad, Sad, news.

Yeah not good....

Looks more and more likely the female was his girlfriend. The Escalade she was driving was a gift from Steve to her. They said last night the vehicle is registered to Steve and the female…..
