Today is my old man's birthday. He raised me right, that is, to be a Cowboys fan. I grew up watching games wearing my number 33 jersey and my helmet. I didn't really understand what I was watching at age 3, but it was easy for me to understand Tony D and TouchDown have the same initials.

So for his birthday today I presented him with tickets to the preseason game vs. the 49ers. The game against the Titans was almost sold out at the price range I want to pay, and we had talked about "someday" going to "a" game in the new stadium. I figured, it'll still be August when we play the Niners, so it counts.

Any experiences gained from those going to the game vs the Titans will be appreciated.

I'm going on Thanksgiving

The best seats I could get without spending an arm and a leg was on the goal line, 2nd level.

Anyone of us going to any game this year should write a fan post detailing their experience at the new stadium.

I'll be at the home opener against the Giants

All I could afford were the party pass, standing room only, tickets. But it will be great to be there at the 1st regular season home game at the new stadium.

I just got my tickets from FedEx for that game last week. We should see at least a half from the starters…maybe even a series or two into the 3rd quarter.

My wife and I are going to the Nov 22nd game against Washington.

The day before, we will be in Austin for the Longhorns and Kansas @ DKR. She either really loves me or has an evil plan for how I can pay her back. Either way, I can’t wait.
