50th season

avoiding the 50th season (2009) vs. 50th anniversary (2010) argument......

does anyone find it odd that there has been zero mention of the cowboys 50th season aside from the top 50 players in franchise history on DC.com??  Cowboys celebrated 25th season in 1984 which you would think would lead them to celebrate 50th season in 2009.....

AFL, Raiders, Chiefs, BillsChargers, Pats, Jets etc etc all celebrating 50th season and topic has not even been addressed by the Cowboys

it wouldnt be like Jerry to pass on a marketing opportunity...

only thing I can think of is that Jerry is trying to cash in on two marketing opportunities...new stadium this year and then maybe the 50th anniversary next year??

maybe NFL wants to let the AFL teams celebrate this 50th season this year and then NFL teams 50th anniversary next year??

any thoughts??

Hmm, interesting point.

It’s a little like celebrating the new millenium one year early (New Year’s 2000). Maybe Jerry just likes the round number 2010.

By the way Newman I'm just curious

When you booked the hotel did you book it for the millennium new year?

N: As a matter of fact, I did

J: Oh, That;s interesting because as everyone knows, since there was no year zero the millennium doesn’t begin until the year 2001, which would make your party one year late….and thus, ……quite lame…OHHHHH!

Jerry: George is dating a convict.
Kramer: Really? What's she in for?
George: Embezzlement.
Kramer: (Seriously) Sounds like a nice girl!
