Has anyone spotted Paul's sign?
I know there’s only like 80,000 people there.

same old cowboys
4th and inches we are offside and we miss a field goal
stupid penalties again.
if watkins and ball are still with this team after the weekend than wade is a B$ artist.
no repercussions when you have any type of penalty.
Excited to see the tour.
Offense – A
Defense – B
Special Teams – D
Intangibles – C – dominated, controlled the clock, too many penalties.
Overall, B to B-.

offense B
too many chances to take an early 14-0 lead and a stupid penalty kills another drive

What a great drive to end the half
Glad to see play calling so aggressive
Geaux Cowboys!
Nice drive to finish the half.
Why does Joe Buck have to always play down Romo and the offenses accomplishments. They drive right down the field Troy, but it is against the second team secondary.

Same old Cowboys
Great offense, good Defense, horrible Special Teams, lots of penalties.

Not as many as last week, but they have to get better.
When did I become a Cowboy fan? When my mom told me I was.
6 penalties
in the first half is ridiculous!!
by oneforthethumb on Aug 21, 2009 8:40 PM CDT up reply actions
And they were stupid penalties.
One or two were BS, but they have got to get a handle on it.
When did I become a Cowboy fan? When my mom told me I was.
Still trying to get used to this new Cowboys offense
I’m thoroughly enjoying the score, but realize I keep waiting to see the big play. Then I remember that TO is gone and our offense is no longer geared for the big play.
"So you can’t stiff arm at all? What about the throat?"- Marion "Barbarian" Barber
That was nice
But it was really just a short dump-off that Felix turned into a big play.
"So you can’t stiff arm at all? What about the throat?"- Marion "Barbarian" Barber
I like watching Felix run.
I tried to keep up with individuals, but it is kind of hard.
When did I become a Cowboy fan? When my mom told me I was.
the simpler they look, the better I like....
pecially if they go 42 yards…….all of them on PURE SPEED!!!!!…he made two guys miss before breaking it downfield.
I like that the offense is looking good even running "Vanilla"
When did I become a Cowboy fan? When my mom told me I was.
Mixed emotions about the closing drive.
After all, it was against the backup DBs. At any rate if there was a theme for the first half it would be “Stupid is as stupid does.” This team could lose two games to inferior teams due to sheer stupidity. That includes Garrett too. Why oh why didn’t he run Felix on at least one of those two plays that Barber wasn’t able to break? I bet if you asked the boy genius, he’d tell you that’s the beauty of it; you don’t expect them to run Barber on 3rd-and-6.
At any rate, the O still showed it is capable of moving the ball at will against a top flight defense. Finishing is the key.
Exactly
Boy gensius is moving the ball in the first quarter and he calls that stupid rollout and then the stupid screen to barber which goes nowhere!!

cowboys look really good
Too many penalties but it is the 2nd preseason game, we’ll get better.
In Romo we Trust
They had better,
but you can tell that the Boys could put them away at will.
When did I become a Cowboy fan? When my mom told me I was.
I would like to
believe that, however the boys have not shown anything the last 2 years to disprove we take stupid penalties. Watkins doesn’t know he can’t run out of bounds???

I Would have liked to seen at least one deep ball..
to either Austin or Hurd
Geaux Cowboys!
Save that for the Giants.
If you can dominate on the ground, then do so.

Peaking at the box score, Tardvaris outperformed him.
How funny would it be if he was the backup?
Well, obviously, he’d take his ball and go home.
I thought he knew the playbook and had been practicing with the high school kids.
Just so we’re on the same page here; you expect him to be much better in 15 days?
Eh. 15. 18. 2 1/2 weeks. What's the difference?
This is the offense he’s played in his whole career. Remember?
Also Tardvaris and Favre's TD/INT ratios reciprocated each other over the last month of the season.
8/2. I’ll let you figure out who threw the 8 picks.
Which didn't really mean much.
Since Tard was horrible agaisnt the Eagles in the playoffs. and gave them no real shot at winning.

bring in McBriar…make him kick 100 balls and make sure you put that thing on top of his highest kick….

Also....
I like how Favre already has his handlers pushing the partially torn rotator cuff out there so he has a fallback if his majesty’s latest farewell tour doesn’t go as well as expected.
Hey, I'm not the one who's had multiple retirement press conferences....
…..Where I bawled my eyes out.
dammit......
how many more?…..everyone but the center…..nice way to call it….you all suck
"Everyone but the center"?
WTF? Penalties are a huge issue.
"So you can’t stiff arm at all? What about the throat?"- Marion "Barbarian" Barber
Think if romo goes down, we wont have to panic this year.
Edit- Everyone but the center, never heard calls announced like that
I think we look very weak this year in backups....
Specially the O-line, D-Line, Secondary…. strong on QB, TE and RB but that’s about it
I dont really think our depth issues are too much worse than any other team in the league
injuries can doom any team

Just curious
Didn’t Kitna used to be a lot better than this? He’s freakin’ awful. Also, it may just be me but has Ware been a non factor so far this pre-season? I haven’t seen much of him.
He's been double teamed a lot
And has been extremely solid against the run. Just because he doesn’t have any sacks doesn’t mean he hasn’t done anything. Earlier he fought off a double, held the point and took down the runner.
They’re also playing a pretty vanilla scheme.

Actually
I think the CFL team he was playing for cut him.

Someone said it earlier...
…it is soooo nice to have a starter as a backup. If, and I am knocking on wood, crossing my fingers, etc, he has to come in this season, I am significantly more settled with this than I was last year.
Ok, Anyone else disgusted...
…by Pam Oliver’s breathtaking work on the sidelines tonight. Seems she is auditioning for a return to the four-letter network.
“Hey Tony, how about that ball-breaker of a December last year? How can you possibly think you’ll ever recover from that!?”
“Hey,Roy, how about your pathetic career so far…any chance you’ll amount to anything!?”
I paraphrase, but her questions make me want to puke…..
Seems like theres a lot of Favre talk
I understand why, but it’s taking away from the Cowboys! haha.

Need some more work on penalties…
other than that…we owned this one
Thats game, man I love this blog.
You guys are like the family I actually wanted, save for my mama. lol.
Much improved
over last week
A lot to be encouraged about…I like where this team is headed…they’re gonna be tough to beat
Nice Turnaround
Except for the penalties, we were pretty sharp tonight.
And after seeing our backups get abused by the Raiders, it’s nice to see them play well against a team that is supposed to have plenty of depth.
Bring on San Francisco.
Deja Vu
This game had a regular season feel to it. And I’m enthused that our starters were easily the better team. But the better team doesn’t always win. We made many of the same mistakes as last year (missed opportunities, penalties at crucial times, poor kick coverage, atrocious tackling). That is why we dominated the game but were down 10-7 when the Titans pulled their starters. It reminded me a bit of the Pittsburgh game. Now, am I happy that we dominated a really good team? Of Course. Am I panicking over the miscues? Not really. I’m actually enthused about the play of our backups. Am I nervous to see the same type of play as last year? Darn Skippy I am.
Rodney Hannah
is good enough to be at least a #2 TE for somebody. Just not here.
I liked the two long drives, havent seen those since the triplets,
on the other hand I miss the quick strikes of the last two years and the excitement around it, I am doomed, I cant tell which is better
We need a mix.
Ball control is great, but you have to be able to have some guys that make them pay if they try to cheat up too much.
